Polunin and Cojocaru do dance well together. But, I'm not sure if there is some confusion on your part, it sounds like you might be referring to them being a couple offstage / in real life? If so, Sergei and Alina are not a couple offstage (and never have been). Alina Cojocaru has a family with dancer and choreographer Johan Koborg and Sergei has a family with ice dancer Elena Ilyinkh.

Breathtakingly beautiful - i had to watch it again immediately - the staging and production are terrific - and the choreography looks so fresh and vibrant - love the colour palette - i have tickets for the London performance in May - i’ll be devastated if it’s cancelled ... what wonderful dancers, Sergei has put together a stunning company ... thank you for posting...

I am an old woman now, but I have rarely in my life enjoyed getting to know someone like Sergei. To watch him grow through the photos, his exquisite command of the dance, his perfect body, I must face it, I am obsessed! I wish he would dance in joy more, but maybe that will come. I love seeing him enjoy all the good things our world has to offer, and I am glad he has beautiful Elena and his sons to keep him grounded. I love to watch him teach. I cannot agree with his politics at all, but somehow that doesn’t taint my enjoyment of him. I wish for him a long, healthy, happy life, maybe a little less angst and more joy.

Sergei is an uncommonly beautiful person, inside and out. For me, his ability to convey meaning, depth, and emotion through his dance is unmatched by any other artist, and, like you, I would love to see him dance in joy more often. When I first discovered him several years ago, his performances in comedy/ lighthearted ballets (Coppelia, Alice in Wonderland, Don Quixote, etc) especially gave me a gift of being able to hold onto delight after many years of struggling with depression. I don’t know if he’s aware of how powerful a gift it is that he has- to be able to convey delight to an audience, especially in a world where the dark is hard to escape. Since his projects usually come about due to whatever artists and opportunities come his way and intrigue him, I’m hoping he will meet up with a creator/ choreographer to collaborate with whose work will bring this side out of him again soon! Always praying for him, for safety, joy, and peace. And always happy to share with people who love Sergei for who he is. ❤️

I just saw an earlier comment you made on another video (After about 3 or 4 replies, I no longer receive notifications about a comment. So if I don't reply within a couple of days, it's likely I haven't seen your comment. So if you ever don't get a reply and you'd like me to respond to something you can just start a new comment on a video and I'll see it.) In that comment you mentioned wanting to watch R&J again. If you can't see it live in December, we can hope that maybe they will have a telecast like they are doing with Rasputin. "Rasputin" and "Romeo and Juliet" are completely different types of stories and styles of dancing (Rasputin being a ballet "drama" and not purely classical ballet like R&J. The story is also definitely not a classical, tragic romance.) So it's not strange that you would have a preference and less of an interest in it than R&J. You can be a fan of a dancer and not necessarily enjoy every performance they put on. Thankfully, Sergei has been able to start performing again and he has a wide range of interests, so, if all goes well (as with the Dante festival you mentioned where Sergei plans to dance new pieces designed on the Divine Comedy) there will be many opportunities for both classical ballet and modern/ experimental dance enthusiasts and everyone in between to be able enjoy his work!
