Nice work on the Rachmaninoff. Very clean playing. Have you played any of the others from Op 23 or Op 32? I studied the ones in D, Cm, and G#m as a music major in college, as well as his 2nd piano sonata. It is really awesome to see classically trained musicians involved in rock music, applying their skills, both technically and compositionally, advancing the rock scene that is labored with mediocrity. As a public school music teacher, I am constantly looking for new groups to inspire my musicians. Haken's Affinity album is exceptionally creative. Thanks foe all of the hard work you guys put into it.

Thanks very much for your nice words, Jim. I'll have a listen to those opuses you've mentioned. Being incredibly honest; I wouldn't consider myself a classical musician. Had some classical piano oriented lessons when I was 9-10 but my actual uni training was on jazz/contemporary music. I always loved (of course) Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc, but also love Bill Evans, Miles Davies, Philip Glass, etc. This was a piece I always wanted to play since I first heard it when i was 15.

+Diego Tejeida Your classical training has paid off, though and enabled you to come up with some cool riffs Bill Evans was classically trained and I consider him the best of the bop era pianists. I have a few of his albums and a many albums of Davis and McCoy Tyner. I wish I could play jazz like them. I really like the creative jazz and technique concepts in 1985 & Earthrise. Toto is my 2nd fav group ( Chicago is #1) and I hear some elements of them in those pieces. I am one of the early generation Xer's, and a bit overly critical of today's music; however, I am really impressed with what you guys have put out on Affinity.
