Sergei Yuferov - Elegie, Op. 1, No. 3

Sergei Yuferov (1865 - 1927) was a Russian composer. This piece is from his first opus, a collection of six piano pieces.
The dominant motif is introduced in the first measure, and repeated throughout with a variety of harmonies beneath it. The middle section features a duet between the left and right hands. After returning the the original material, the composer concludes the piece with a bittersweet arpeggio.
