Born in Kherson, Ukraine in 1989, Sergei Polunin / Сергей Полунин is a Russian ballet dancer. Famous for his “once every hundred years” talent, he has incredulous elevation and impeccable technique. From an early age, he displayed glorious dramatic range. Home videos of him as a small boy improvising to Pavarotti are very foretelling. At age 19, he became the youngest ever male principal dancer with London's Royal Ballet company.
Ballet gained an unprecedented new awareness when he danced in Hozier’s viral video ”Take Me To Church.” People who would never have paid any attention to ballet began to watch the tattooed phenom. He is generally attributed with bringing ballet to the modern common man. Classical, yet cutting edge, Sergei starred in Diesel’s “Make Love Not Walls” campaign and has put his mark on many other promotions.
Sergei is a much sought after model and actor. Fashion designers love his breathtaking physique and brooding good looks. He has garnered only positive reviews for his acting. His appearances include Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of the Orient Express, the biographical documentary Dancer, The White Crow, and Red Sparrow.

Bardzo zagubiony i nieszczęśliwy człowiek ! On formalnie krzyczy , błaga o pomoc ! Ma wielkie problemy z sobą ! Nie potrafi kochać a bardzo by chciał ! Te tatuaże , reakcja na innych ludzi , ucieczka z Londynu ! Nie oszukujmy się , takich tancerzy na świecie jest wielu ! Sergiej jest dobrym tancerzem ale ma problem z psychiką ! Niestety nic już nie stworzy lepszego , jest zakładnikiem swego talentu , jego " pięć minut " już przeszło ! Myślę że przerosło go to wszystko ! Narkotyki ,alkohol i podejrzewam go o problemy z tożsamością seksualną , zrobiły swoje . Te szalone oczy , koks ? Szkoda ! Mam nadzieję że się mylę !

Он с 10лет учился в лондоне без близких рядом, до упора, без отдыха! Там конечно занимаются много детей но он издалека , с малых лет. Развод родителей с которыми он толком и не общался нанесла конечно травму. Не все перенесли бы это. Люди рождаются разными, тут живешь рядом с детьми и они не могут добиться того чего хотели бы родители! Другой на его месте может раньше сбежал бы. Все накопилось теперь у него крик души, никто ведь не знает на самом деле как он там жил, он научился скрывать свои чувства, эмоции замкнутый круг. Удачи ему хотелось бы чтобы он танцевал и его раны в душе зажили !!! Успехов ему!!!

Он всему научился в своей школе на Украине, всему базовому курсу балетной школы. А в Лондоне, по словам Сергея, балетная школа плоха, и он занимался сам по себе, по собственной программе.

A god gone astray. His best work was with the Royal Ballet but he seems to have lost focus in recent years and squanders his gifts amongst a community of hucksters and opportunists happy to make use of him. A deeply gifted man driven by a kind of pain that isn't easily resolved by adulation of the You Tube variety. I always sense a very pure soul whenever I hear him speak. I hope he finds his way to some sort of peace..

I think the Royal Ballet did not nurture him very well. It is no coincidence that they lost other dancers at that time. The experience has impaired his career and I hope that he now achieves his full potential, and happiness.

Besides being gorgeous he is an absolute genius of ballet and dance. He body is a work of art. I know he has his vices but you don't get a body like that from abusing it too much. He reminds me of Mikhail Birishnykov in my day.
