Here's 2017 GFA first-prize winner Tengyue "Ty" Zhang playing Sergio Assad's "Valseana" from the "Aquarelle" suite on a beautiful 2017 Jose Vigil classical guitar in cedar and Indian rosewood. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Valseana is a piece of a Brazilian guitarist named Sergio Assad. The name comes from the word "Valsa", that mean waltz. #proud to be Brazilian!

That shouldn't matter. If you want to figure out what strings to use just try different ones. More goes into tone using the same strings.

@@Blackreapxr actually, it does matter. As a classical guitarist myself, I'm very much interested in specifications, particularly strings. It makes quite a difference to the player, novice or professional, what type and quality of strings he uses. I also suggest you be a little more polite. :)

@@psubba17 As a classical guitarist as well with a degree in performance, you should be trying different strings out and finding out which is best for you. What purpose does knowing serve? I guess it doesn't hurt if it's a brand that you've never heard of as it introduces something, but too often I find people trying to copy somebody's setup which is ridiculous. They ask for their exact action in mm, exact strings, like why? Figure out what works for you.
