I have alot of the Marvel comic books that he drew back in the mid 90s. I think he drew Spiderman. He's one of my favorite comic book artists. I always wondered what ever happened to him. His artwork is spectular! I also ink faster than I 🖊!

Sergio sou do Brasil, acompanho seu trabalho já a algum tempo...tenho a bíblia em ação gostei demais achei muito massa, em outras palavras benção demais!!e achei muito gratificante pois nós cristãos temos pouco material desse gênero.Não sei se conhece o livro "Este mundo tenebroso" de Frank Peretti... muito bom!! tem como enredo batalha espiritual, narrado como romance com personagens e tudo...o senhor podia dar uma olhada, creio que vale a pena. gostaria muito que nos presentea-se com uma historia com tal temática "GUERRA ESPiRITUAL".

Is that a chizle tip sharpie marker that your using? Or is it a regular one? You need to explain which kind of inking pens and markers that you use.

You schould put a small piece of paper under neath your hand when your inking. So that you don't smear the ink all over the place.

Since the relaunch of GI JOE with IDW publishing, the one book you illustrated is the one i remember the most. it was so good. I had to finally stop buying that comic because the interior art of almost every other issue was just so bad.

I saw that too! I know Sergio studied under Joe Kubert (whose influence I do see), but I thought of Mr. Colan, as well. In any case: Great job!

Colan?maybe subconsciously .Never looked at Colan for inspiration but I take that as a complement . Kubert, most certainly, worked closely with Joe for many years as instructor and collaborator on his army magazine and correspondence courses. Never had him as actual instructor during my time as student , but that didn't stop me from going into his office many times. I purposely studied his art extensively throughout my 22 years of career.

@@hqcariello You can definitely see and feel Colans presence in the Samson drawing, intended or not. Nevertheless beautiful illustration of the biblical character.
