As soon as he landed his troops in the enemy territory he lost, cause from the front he was pushed by land troops and from the back was by enemy ships. What he should have done was first to control the sea by making as many battleship as he can and made sure he is controlling the sea and no enemy ships can even dare to attack anywhere. This pushes AI to defensive mechanisms therefore it will only focus on the land troops which is what you want, why? Easy. As long as there is one town close to the water you can attack it by you shipps and AI tries to deffend the town. You need to remember that tanks and troops are no match to the battleship fire power especially in big number. You keep doing that until the land troops are numbered and town is too weak to defend itself from invasion. What i do in this scenarios i alway try to get to the towns which have the most land casue aftet i invade that city i basically put my headquarters there and i make my troops as close as i can to my enemy (in this case enemies invade his own land instead of my own) so the supply of the soldiers to the front line takes no time. I keep attacking the second city until its fallen. And go to the next one while my other battleship causing chaos for other port cities (i don't invade those, cause it distract AI from my land invasion, not by much, but it definitely buys me time).

Your opponent was hardly a worthy 1 Attacking in the same spot over and over again when he could have landed in a different spot or brought his ships down and attacked your forces then landed an army on the beach or in a different spot while the ships kept you busy. Bombing the Fortress when he should have been bombing your infrastructure. Nuking the city not doing any damage instead of the area around the city. Or dop 1 right where your army was then land mine on your territory and it would have been game over I think I could have beaten you not easily but more likely would have

next time take out his ability to gather oil wood stone food ect that way he does not have the time to build up his forces or to continue to nuke you an since you had water bordering you you should build air craft carriers to defend an attack his cost line while sending stealth bomber to continue to attack everything he is buoldinh while sending some fighters to escort them an ground troops flanking on all sides to confuse him while you attack with missiles on his main capitals

I always build a maginot line of forts, towers and AA guns. It works great but takes a long time to build and is expensive so you gotta play as Rome and build the coliseum for fort and tower discounts.

Which is your fav civilisation? I like iroquios for thier troops auto heal policy and free scouts proves really handy sometimes after 3rd stage when they become special elite troops... Woh badey dhansu cheez hain to take down horses in single shots or even tanks. Wonder tak uda detey woh! Used them many times for that! :) Second since iroquios troops anint visible to enemy troops when still... that is not moving or fighting... So Special elite becomes real commandos. Cause they dont do anything except when told to ...no matter how close they to any enemy troop or building. Second I dont thing they get attrition burn plus they can move through forest... so no need to go round to access enemy troops or building. Overall they really amazing sometimes.

if you are talking about modification of in game files then yes...I have altered the population cap to 800 to increase the fun :P also, editing the max commerce cap allowed to more than +999 hehe...

Mukul Bhardwaj Yes, modification is exactly what I am talking about here. The thing is, I have been modding the Balance.xml to make it my preference. It is painful watching a large formation of heavy infantry getting ripped off by a bunch of archers, while in reality, it is the heavy infantry that is the main force of every wars. The alteration of Balance.xml works fine with RON (TaP), but with Extended Edition, it DOESN'T work at all. I even remove the Balance.xml and the game still runs perfectly fine. Don't know why but it seems like it doesn't affect the game. Do you have any idea about this?

I am not aware of what Balance.xml does, I couldnt understand it at all...can you enlighten me on how to use that file please? as for your question...I don't have experience working with extended edition but however, while working with TaP I saw instances where the game relied on original files even if the copy of it existed in TaP expansion pack, so you might wanna try editing the base game RoN files and not TaP expansion files as well.. :) Just try it! Who knows?

Achcha 4x4 pe khelo in toughest mode toh 2nd town center fully establish hone se pehle koi na koi bhai aa hi jata official vist pe! So u should be prepared for war within 2nd or 3rd stage however lil or primitive it is! /basically u must have something for thier catapults and horses. Abey mere yahan toh dhaan bo detey bhosidiwale! :)

U playing for nuclear war and u constructing everything so close to town center? ...U had death wish in your mind or what? :) Must not be in toughest mode or else its very unlikely that u will not get the burn of few nukes before u can have anti nuke cover when playing against computer rivals. I suppose. And when it hits your town center it s gonna raze every thing there is along with. Your farms... your workers everything! :) More sometimes comp player loves hitting with nukes.... So there gonna be series of nukes at most of your town centers backed by charge by there troops to capture them.... not just one or two. ;) So in my opinion its better to construct things from town center as far as possible so that u dont lose anything than just town center in middle of hectic war. Wud come handy if they not using ICBM (upgraded nukes rare case) cause in that case its still likely some damage will be done if not all bt still good strategy to minimize damage.
