Has anyone noticed that Morgan's tone changes when he talks about impressing Lizzie? I always found it funny in a way, as he always talks in a serious manner. And I see they made a lot of changes like Kanyenke's name, Chayton's campaing, among others.

Yeah, there were some errors when they selected names for some characters where the words were words for places rather than people. They got a lot of help from experts this time around to fix some of the inaccuracies, which is pretty cool. I love that they make an effort for better historical and cultural accuracy~

Idk, I prefer the original ending to Chayton's campaign on which he goes missing after Little Big Horn but it is implied he settled west and had a family. I think it was better

OH, WOW! That clip really does exist. Even on Steam vanilla I no longer see this, despite the fact I could have sworn I heard this when I first began playing the game in late 2005. I eventually assumed that I imagined that last part.

Man, I am so sad that Microsoft decided to just make AoE 2 part 2 instead of pushing the series forward. I love this campaign. It wasnt historically accurate what-so-ever, but god it was entertaining. So much better than the several hours of History channel documentary that was shoved into the AoE4 campaign.

I personally liked the mix they did in aoe 2, instead of being completely historical accurate or being completely made up they gave genghis khan, william of normandy, robert guiscard, william wallace and other characters, a voice, a story. I would have loved the dialogue that makes this campaigns have CHARACTER.

This remastering definitely had some good and bad aspects. Graphic-wise, this is definitely a major improvement -- though I am still not going to complain about the cartoonish looks of the vanilla original, since it is a style in itself. On the other hand, some of the shots were better in the original -- such as Morgan Black looking down at the Fountain of Youth with the water's reflection, as opposed to the modern bird's eye view. Quite often, the facial expressions and body movements seemed a little off, and in a few cases these characters would close their eyes too much -- such as Sahin the Falcon in the last cut scene. Did anybody else notice the constant glitches in these clips?

Im wondering if anyone realized that Old Coot sounded awfully familiar?for example that you broke the circle and in just one lifetime too?that too was awfully familiar with how Morgan Black pronounced it because if you remember hes Scottish and that Scottish accent was there and he knew about that Ossus Cirlce and if you remember on that last fight with Morgan Black near the fountain of youth and his canteen was clearly empty and he filled his canteen with that water from the lake which was clearly connected to that fountain of youth

I assume, though don't know for sure, that Nonahkee was a faux-native name (like, no actual native person would have been named that). In keeping with their other changes to make the game more consistent with real indigenous traditions (e.g. Iroquois to Haudenosaunee, Kanyenke to Ká:nien), I guess they deleted it, though it feels like they could've given her an actual name instead.

Native Americans complained about how they didn't have permission from Crazy Horse so they had to replace him with "Uncle Frank" Also the last game made Custer seem a little more fair but the remake makes him a lot more of a villain.

what a joke of a remaster, while the graphics are prettier, some in game cutscenes are bugged out or missing and the cinematography and camera angles of the cgi cutscenes is also less interesting and the facial expressions awful. Plus that ugly UI and all the copycats they did from the Wars of Liberty mod, just a shame. If it ever happens, am really scared of how a Age of Mythology DE might turn out now at this point...And Fire and Steel...they just butchered it.

Some of the cutscene videos are all messed up for me, not sure why (AOE3 DE, PC, Xbox app). Looks like they're badly encoded? (Massive artifacts, perhaps from over-compression, unwatchable, specifically end of Campaign 1 Act 2). So anyway I'm watching a few here, thanks.
