Shogun is a unit that heavily relies on its speed, damage, and abilities to be viable. And because of it being this unusual fancy, and fast melee glass cannon style unit, it can pull off insane things like soloing ice giant but can lose to something that a clubber could potentially kill (e.g., headbutter, gift elf). Headbutter is basically a slot machine on how much damage it does, and gift elf's gift can do a lot more extra damage depending on how fast the opponent is.

Tbh, I don’t find the shogun that fun to watch fighting, most of the time it’s pretty much just lunge and hit, extremely exaggerated dodge back multiple times then the final move that’s actually effective against any decently sized army and then repeat all the previous moves.

The present does 100 damage, but if the unit is walking on a very fast speed(like shogun' s dash) the damage increases by too much, it can even one shot mammoth
