The wood is a huge requirement - I build 16-20+ cutters from the start around the biggest forest relatively close by. Moving them to the next forest as things clear.

Original Stronghold is definitely lacking in units (merc camp with suitable units from western europe) and AI lords. Wish they add some dlc-s (expansions), so we can have bigger options in multiplayer. And to make multiplayer competitive dev should make option for players to choose one of the castle designs that they will defend through all the match… and to have limited resources in materials and manpower. This will make games much more dynamic and prevent players from building endless walls stacked with tons of units. The idea is to have games lasting to max 45 min, not sieging one castle for eternity. That way you can defeat enemy players by killing their lord or draining them out of resources or manpower. Adding ranked multiplayer will keep the players

@@SillyOmega I mean, yeah obviously. But the 1st Crusader still literally is a great game - the matter of how this Definitive Edition sells, has no impact on that (it only decides whether Crusader 1 gets a Remake).

I don't understand why you don't use fire arrows, just put a cauldron in each tower. On the other hand, it took you a long time to place the side door near the stone mine, it is the first thing you should have done when placing the walls.

this was the first pc game I ever had (the original of course) so getting the DE version of it was a nobrainer. Core memories unlocked aswell as this still being a great game to this day. Absolutely love it.

I'm totally up for it and really keen to play - but please, please please can we have a "no random fires" tick box? I mean, really? The fires are just annoying, not fun. Can we please just remove them pregame, unless they are part of the scenario?

Stronghold is my favourite game, but again firefly disappoint by doing just the bare minimum. I am recently replaing the old campain but with re-worked maps that look increadible beautiful and detailed but having the same overall structure and feeling ass the old ones. I wish they would have done the same here. It is after all a PC game and not a 5 euro mobile game. I certainly wont buy it to release. But hey, I think the trees look nice to say something positive.....

From what I remember, Firefly said that the actual release (the one shown here is a limited Demo) will have a New Harder Campaign as well. So 1 Easy (essentially Freebuild), 1 Hard (what is shown here), and 1 "Very Hard."
