Thanks for making this fairly easy to adjust. I wish these changes could been done with jumpers. That would be more convenient.

Dennis, For my Kenwood install, I need the attenuation. May I simply do the attenuation modification by itself?? It's not contingent on any other mode correct? I need only cut one trace on the ATT pads. De N8MKR

Answered my own question Dennis. It worked like a champ. I did the attenuator mod and now my received levels are in proper range.

Which version of the DigiRig is needed for the Yaesu VX6R?
@digirig7 ай бұрын
Digirig rev. 1.6 and later have the same cable pinouts. Your HT doesn't use Digirig's serial port so it will work with any configuration of the interface.

@@digirig so I can order an RS232 for another application and then use that for my Yaesu? If so, that's great news and prevents me from needing two!

@@gregrush6570 That is correct. More on the topic here: digirig.net/selecting-digirig-configuration/

It would be nice to have some dip switches here instead

I get this request time to time. The introduction of switches will inevitably increase size/cost of the interface and introduce the possibility of damaging the equipment when configuration is switched back-and-forth. At the price which is a fraction of other digital modes interfaces you can have a dedicated Digirig for each of your radios and not worry about flipping switches or reconnecting cables.
@JohnForTheWin11 ай бұрын
@@digirigI don't think the DigiRig is significantly cheaper than other options. It's roughly the price of a DRA box which is comparable.
@digirig11 ай бұрын
@@JohnForTheWin I must be missing something. The cheapest assembled DRA I can find with metal enclosure is $100 and none of the models are CAT capable. So you can get 2 Digirig interfaces for the same money and if you fall back to DRA-level functionality then you will not even need to touch the serial port configuration in the first place.

@@digirig You're right. the DRA-30 is more expensive than I remember. The DigiRig is my favorite and is what I'm using for all my radios going forward. I have a SignaLink and a DRA-70 and I prefer the simplicity of the DigiRig. I wish attenuation could be enabled via jumper or switch (I don't believe the cost would be an issue), but I'll live with this inconvenience. I like the DigiRig quality of support, I like the straightforward purchase process and cable selection, and I like that the device doesn't have knobs and buttons. LED's would be nice though. I'd pay more to have an LED indicator to show the signal level going in and coming out of the box.
