I love that y'all aren't afraid to admit that you didn't entirely understand everything that happened but still loved the show anyways, cus saaaame. But it's one of those weird situations where it's not confusing in an unsatisfying why. You still understand the characters motivations and everything that leads into that. But there are certain elements that are left intentionally vague so that you can find your own interpretation. And imo that just makes it so satisfying to watch. I don't know if my conclusiongs are right, but that doesn't matter bc I still felt like I gained so much by the end anyways. This kind of show also rewards rewatchers so much more than most bl bc you're always going to catch new things, or re-evaluate your conclusions based on other interpretations you've seen from other watchers. And even besides the story, it's just so well-made overall. The sound, the cinematography, the acting. They clearly put sooo much thought and love into making this, and oddly for a genre centered on romance it feels like it's kinda rare for that to be so evident in the finished product.

The last viral BL in both Korean and Internationally was Our Dating Sim. Eighth Sense was popular internationally but not really in Korea. Also game world didn't exist at all in ODS apart from the post-credit scenes so I don't really think they're similar at all.

Blueming - 2022/ The Eight Sense - 2023 / Love for Love's Sake - 2024.... 3 years in a row now... Korea has delivered shows that are now in my top 10 all time list.. this show was amazing.. also my take on the finale : Myung Ha went into a depression after his grandmother died and his girlfriend broke up with him. After all this he went to his mother who abandoned him and she pretended like she didn't know him... and she also had a new son. He ended up committing suicide because of this. The ''game'' world is actually some sort of purgatory/after life where he was given a second chance to be happy... at least that was my interpretation of it. also the guy who was his ''senior'' was mostly like a grim reaper or an angel possibly.

This was a good show and I really enjoyed it. I’m with Ayla I took it as he was reincarnated and it’s his chance for redemption. There were a lot of good messages with our it preaching to you. Dedicatedly on the rewatch list.

Its not reincarnation, he is in some kind of afterlife or different world. He kinda lives in this game world now, but now both Yeowoon and Myungha are players in it

I have some many questions 🤣 For example: the aspect ratio changes means something? Who is the "Sunbae"? I didn't think it was dark, but it has a sensitive topic… so maybe a trigger warming could be nice for some. And another thing, Cha Joo Wan (as Cha Yeo Woon) kinda looks like Soobin (TXT) and Tae Vin (as Myung Ha) reminded Mark Lee (NCT) 🤣 and discovering Tae Vin is a ex-idol 🤣

Okay this is late, but I'll try to answer your question: 1 - The aspect ratio changes when Myungha and Yeowoon hug at the end because all barriers have broken down and this is their new reality now. 2 - Sunbae is a god-like persona. He isn't explained much, but it's assumed that Myungha is a writer (he wrote essays to earn money in the game universe) and the sunbae is his work senior in-universe.
