I failed the first attempt a month ago, found your videos shortly after (wished I found it sooner!), and felt a LOT more confident going into the exam today! Quite a few questions around U4's, AML, borrowing from clients, 529 plans, Do Not Call policies. I visualized you reading the questions and tried to think from your perspective as to why this choice is bad, and why that choice is bad. And it worked! I passed! Hi Dean, thanks for these videos. Just passed the 9 and now working on the 10. Working for one of the big wirehouses and in opening accounts, a picture ID is NOT a requirement nor even the driver’s license number. A picture ID is only requested when the CIP program fails which is rare. Is this a firm option? I know you said firms cannot be more lenient, but this is definitely not something required.

Well that means your CIP program has its own way of confirming identity and kicks out when not able to do so. I teach to the tests and the answer on the test is picture ID is how to confirm identity and open the account. Kudos on your Series 9 testing victory!

Just passed after failing the first time. This video helped a ton for a few questions. Funny enough, I felt a lot more confident during the test the time I failed, and a lot less confident during the test the time I passed. Weird

FINALLY, I passed my 9 in March and just passed my 10 on my third try👍🏻 this was a great prep for me as each test I had to drive 4 hours to take each exam. The 10 was very difficult for me. I used Kaplan and Training consultants. I would argue that they don’t touch enough on the Municipal Bond material or elderly client situations. I have used Kaplan for my SIE, Series 63, 65, 7, 9, 10 and I really liked them but tried training consultants for my 10 after failing twice. Training consultants is ok but it really overloads you on things and I have to hear that ladies voice that does the lectures for training consultants one more time I’d off myself. Seriously, awful. Oh well I’m done finally with my series exams, hope this helps, off to the CFP👍🏻
