When she gives birth, she pushes out the new spirit into the world. So there is a blood and spiritual bond between mother and child. In adoption of a child, a parent doesn’t have that spiritual blood bond with the child, only a namesake claim. So technically she is not a mother.

Heaven as the domain of the Angels, Saints, The Holy Spirit, Jesus, and God; and Hell as the domain of the abisal and dark creatures such as demons, fallen angels, the hell aristocracy and Lucifer, The Morningstar Fallen Angel, the Satan, ruler of Hell.

The fact Zelda immediately let go of the baby when she was crying in pain and fear and how she made the hard choice to give the baby away at the end of the ep to a safer home shows she was a better mother from the start. A true mother (which is determined by love, not by blood) would do anything for the wellbeing of their children even if its a sacrifice to the mother herself Same goes to fathers too

St Lucia/st lucy was born in a roman family in 283 ad ina town of cereque (dont know how it actually spelled) One of the most highly venerated women saint in Catholicism one of 8 most highly venerated.... She was engaged to a pagan guy at that time because her mother says so.... But later her mother became christian through a healing of a miracle when they visit st Agatha grave..... And the merrage don't happen.... I think this is where st lucy came from in Sabrina.....

I’m really mad she didn’t give the baby to Zelda. It’s like that old story of the baby with the fighting mothers and the king. The king says “we will cut the baby in half” The one mother agrees but the other does not unwilling to hurt the baby. And the king rules that she is the true mother because only the true mother would not want to harm the baby. That’s exactly what Zelda did.

What I didn't like was that Gryla was allowed to take the baby because Zelda didn't want to hurt her. I mean the whole point of that test is that the true mother wouldn't want harm to come to the child. I know it was a trick and everything but it just made me mad. Clearly Zelda is the better mother and maybe she has not had children but she raises sabrina and ambrose and teaches them right from wrong. That is what a mother does. Part of the reason I don't like this holiday special.

that was the point. this was essentially king Solomon's process. his was to split a child in half, and give each mother fighting for it, half the child. one mother refused to harm the child, so thus she won. by refusing to harm the child, Zelda proved herself to be the better mother, and thus won the baby.
