I was flying from Denver to San Diego a few years back. It's just a couple hour flight. I'm always a bit nervous about flying so at the airport I slammed a couple beers with a double jack on the rocks. The vibrations during take off, and the g forces alone, almost liberated my bladder for me. Pls no .JPEG I'm seated near first class. There is a hundred people between myself and the poor person's restroom. I know when the fasten seatbelt sign goes off there will be a line of toddlers, and old folks that are able to reach the restroom first. The T.V. in the headrest has an informational display showing the plane's speed, altitude, etc. 1,000 feet before cruising altitude I un-buckle and make my pilgrimage to the holy land. An older man maybe about 65 is standing up out of his window seat. I see this and begin walking faster than I even knew was possible. He hears me. We locked eyes. He started trying to force his way out of the aisle but he trips, and falls face first across my path. I shoved passengers going to help the old man out of my way and launched myself off the old man's body the last ten feet into the lavatory, slam the door shut behind me, and dig into my pants like a fucking wasp just crawled into my underwear. Just as the first few drops hit the water, and I phase into nirvana *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* "Sir you must return to you seat. The pilot has not turned off the fasten seatbelt sign!" I'm a shy pee'er. I dry up. I can't go. For a few minutes I try to force something out while listening to the angry flight attendant. Nothing comes out. I return to my seat getting dirty looks all around. I was so embarrassed I didn't get out of my seat for the rest of the flight. Never again will I use the restroom on a plane.

I have IBS but I know how to NOT EAT before a flight. And i had a similar childhood from Michigan to Tennessee we could stop once. My dad was a 18 wheeler truck driver didnt understand why small kids couldnt hold their bladder lol

One time I was driving home with a friend's dad. He was a bit scary and intimidating and I had just drank a large soda so inevitably I really had to pee even before we left. Fast forward two hours and we're finally home and I'm in agony because I didn't ask to go the entire time...I didn't even grab my stuff I just bolted out of their car. It didn't even feel good to relieve myself, my entire lower body was in pain. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I know I’m coming to this late but please pee if you need to pee when you need to pee APL ❤️ Imagine if your children came to you and said that they were afraid to tell you they needed to go to the toilet and “held it in”, to the point they were in physical pain, just because they were afraid you or someone else would be mad at them for needing to go - wouldn’t you try to comfort and console them and tell them that when they feel they need to go, they should go? Show yourself the same compassion you would to them. ❤️
