Videos like this is what makes this one of my favorite channel and the reason I highly admire boogie. Most people on this world are shitheads, well we all are shitheads in some way, but there are just some people who can do stuff like this, to be positive, to inspire and help other people, and that kind of people is that makes this world just a bit better, and boogie is one of those people.

Boogie. I relate to you so much. I am a obese male living in NYC. I barely went out cause I always think that people stare at me. I am now 70 pounds lighter and I go out alot. You need to try and Find motivation into wanting to feel better about yourself. I come from a family of pure honesty. And buddy honestly I think you SHOULD start eating healthier and do exercise. Cause sooner or later you WILL, god forbid have a stroke or a heart attack. If you don't care about doing it for you, do it for your fans, friends or family, and most importantly do it for your wife. It may be hard, but their is always Liposuction to start you off and probably lose 100 or more lbs. I was trying to save for my first car that I have been wanting since 16 years of age, But I am willing to donate it to you. My life also sucks right now But you are a huge reason why i move forward. so does most if not all people who enjoys your videos. You don't know me, and I only know you through the power of the internet (:D) but It will be like losing a companion, some for alot of people. we love you boogie! take care man.

I love the way you worded that, "Give everybody the chance to love you, too." I have a lot of social anxiety which definitely holds me back in certain situations. I probably don't give people the chance to love who I am. At BlizzCon last year, I didn't go to a lot of meetups, because I wasn't brave. I let the anxiety take over, and because of that I missed out on the opportunity to meet other people. Thanks for posting this video. :)

I too deal with social anxiety. It's really hard to go through a day without wondering what everyone around you is thinking when they see or talk to you. How they are judging you and possibly thinking bad things about you. You're def not alone, I understand what you go through. :)
@oasisbeyond

I struggle with it too, but getting better. you can download Overcoming Social Anxiety-Social Phobia tapes online for free..., 3 tapes changed my life, wonder if I listen to it all. But, it does help, cuz it's all in our mind. And once you know what you have, you become aware of how to overcome it. I'm more open now, joke around others, but still won't sit and get to know someone... Not just yet, I've lost a lot of people in my life and don't need to lose more I guess. But, you gotta live and take risks, or else you will die alone and no one wants that in the end.

Life is about overcoming obstacles and fears, sometimes you have to take risks to overcome them. It's all about being daring, you never know until you try. The results can be amazing or you could fail miserably, but at least you learn from it. You'll never know your full potential until you find the strength in you to not give up. To all those who are constantly put down, keep pushing forward and show them why you're better than them. The only person who can stop you from becoming something is yourself. Everyday might be a struggle, but I'm telling you keep pushing forward and it will get better. The reward is bigger than the risk.

I have this theory that bullying is just an evolutionary trait in humanity. Apes in the jungle will bully each other too. When one member is weak, they'll attack him or her. Ultimately, the goal is not to belittle and hurt that member, but to make them stronger so the group as a whole survives. Fast forward a million years, and survival is not a matter of life and death every day any more, and being the physical ideal is not as essential as it once was. But that instinct to "toughen people up" is still in us. So people still bully. Of course bullying is wrong, and hurtful and cruel. But maybe if we thought about it as an ass-backwards attempt to strengthen people, it might not be so devastating. I was bullied viciously and cruelly in elementary and middle school. I nearly wanted to die sometimes. Even the teachers would attack me. But it made me stronger. Fast Forward 30 years. I got hit with so many health problems it almost seemed like Mother Nature herself was bullying me. But I got through it, possibly thanks the the bullying I went through as a kid. I learned to cope, and just keep going no matter what. If you can just survive, you're a hero.
@Blueswailer
@Blueswailer 10 жыл бұрын
For some this mental approach works, surely. For me over a decade of bullying just made it necessary to take psychotherapy and try to climb out of a massive slump of clinical depression I'm still partly in. Throw in some substance abuse(that I luckily was able to stop years ago) that arose from the fact I wasn't processing my history properly and massive social anxiety and isolation, that's about the end result from my years of being bullied. Your school history sounds a lot like mine. Nowadays I understand how a bully's mind works so I don't hold any personal grudges or rage anymore, it would only poison my own mind. I still despise myself, daily trying hard not to. Your comment presents a rational opinion and an interesting thought but I can never look at bullying as an attempt to strengthen people. In my experience and view it's just making someone crumble for the amusement of the bully. It might've been a viable social function back in caveman days, but nowadays I think it's mostly just a matter of the bully displacing his own feelings of discontent and anger and pointing them at others. Or just being a horrible dickhead who has no grasp of what continued bullying can do to a person. I strongly agree with you on the point that primal instincts still effect everyday life though.

Totally understand your feels coach. Grew up in Mena myself for about 15 years, did the upward bound thing and had long hair and played soccer. As I'm sure you can imagine, this did not go over well for the most part. I totally don't regret any of the animosity I received though because it was motivating and drove me to strive to be so much better at everything that there's no way anyone could talk shit. Obviously that's not achievable in every respect, but in say the case of the primary sports in arkansas... football/basketball/baseball. Getting that animosity drove me to want to be better at these things than the people hating on me, and I did it. Not only did I do it, in doing so i found a lot of things I now enjoy that I wouldn't have if I never tried it due to the haters. We all have things we're good at, but we all also have things we don't even know we can do, much less be good at. Take the haters, and use it as fuel for the fire under your anus, you never know what new experiences you might find along the way of making haters eat their own words. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

Thank you for this video Boogie, its such an important subject! I, like you, have always been big and I have tried to not let my size stop me from doing things. I live in Sweden and about 2 years ago I met a girl online and fell in love. She fell in love with me too, knowing I am as big as I am she really loved me. in august 2013 I had a chance to go visit her for 2 weeks. we had been talking every day for a year and a half and I was soo scared to see her for real. I hadent been on a airlplane since I was 6 (im 31 now) and was so nervous I wouldnt even fit the chair on the airplane. I just thought to my self, I dont want to look back at this moment and regret the things I didnt do 20 years from now! So I went, the plane ride was a peice of cake and I finnaly could hold my girl in my arms! It was the best thing ever! I had the happiest 2 weeks of my life and Im saving up to go again. If you never dare to try anything, all you will have when you get older is regrets!

I just wanted to weigh in on the whole "why people bully" thing here. This is gonna be a long one, but I dont want to spare any details. I used to be a bully when I was in the 4th grade. It was only for half a school year, but it still eats me up inside. The reason I became a bully was because I had been stuck with the option of being invisible or getting picked on... And when a "cool," new kid got put in my class and assigned the set next to me I suddenly had another option: power. He had been sat next to me by the teacher because he'd always talk in class. She figured that moving him to sit next to me, the quietest kid in class (due to my lack of friends) would help him shut up a bit. It didn't. He struck up a conversation with me like none of my other classmates had ever bothered to. We bonded over Star Trek of all things. I had never known a place other than the bottom of the food chain, but he brought me up. I followed his lead and felt shielded by him. He taught me through his actions that bullying others meant not getting bullied yourself. But what really haunts me to this day is that there was one kid in particular that we'd pick on. He was the picture of a stereotypical nerd: glasses, bad teeth, terrible clothing choices... The most obvious target for bullying that you ever saw. Every recess we'd pick on him-- see who could insult him the best. Sometimes he'd try to tell a teacher, but we were such damned good liars that we always got away with it. We made recess the worst part of that kid's day. And the most awful thing about it was that I knew something my friend didn't about this kid and it didn't stop me one bit. This kid's dad had committed suicide about 3 years prior. My mom found out during a PTA meeting and told me. I knew this kid's dad killed himself and I was still content to throw the dandelions he picked for the ground right in his face and call him a pussy. How fucking awful is that? How utterly disgusting? I went on taunting him for almost the rest of that year until one day a friend from a couple years ago noticed me doing this. He asked "why do you do that?" I had to stop and just stand there for a minute because I had no good reason as to why. That simple question shook me. I stopped bullying after that. I never apologized to that kid while I was in school and now that I'm less of a coward, I can't find him. Once, I told this story to a friend and she said that I shouldn't beat myself up about it so much because I was just a stupid kid. But that's not true. I wasn't stupid. I was actually kind of smart for my age. I knew what I was doing and making a conscious power grab. So if I ever seen that kid again, I'll say how sorry I am and how wrong I was. But I will never ever ask him for his forgiveness.
@gukonni
@gukonni 4 жыл бұрын
kids are stupid. adults can be too sometimes, especially together when they feel emboldened by each other and stop thiinking about what they're doing. mobs are like that. don't eat yoruself up over it. at least you can see how it was bad and how it negatively affected his life. i'm saying this as seomeone who got bullied all throughout school.

I was exactly the same. Because I was bullied, I didn't want to do anything in case I got bullied even more for it. I wouldn't do the school play because I worried people would call me 'gay', I didn't go to singing lessons and lost out on years of potential because I thought people would laugh at me. What stopped this was finding an amazing group of friends who I'd spoken to on the off occasion before , but never really 'hung out' with. This, tied in with a fantastic drama trip that really increased my socialising skills turned me into a brand new, improved person. I was still me, I still practised the hobbies I enjoyed, but I'd been given this new confidence that allowed me to do anything. When that school year finished I spent every day of summer with my new friends, all the while increasing my confidence, and two years later I could not be happier, I won the leading role as Danny in the school production 'Grease', I joined a band and I uploaded some song covers to here. It's friends that changes you. Yes, you may have your fallings out and whatnot but spending time with people you enjoy the company with helps you come out of your shell and overcome bullying, because as soon as I had a more confident front, the bullying completely stopped.

I was born with a rare physical disease called VATER syndrome which primarily effected my left hand/arm. While growing up I taught myself to play guitar, piano and was writing many songs... Now at the age of 21 I still find myself depressed. I drove home from my night class tonight and thought hard about my life. My family hates me, I have hardly any friends who are near me... 26 surgeries and somehow I didn't die. So it leads me to question why I'm here at all. Because of some of the things that my family has said and done I do not care to talk to them anymore. My cousin Todd has a new girlfriend, its always in my face. My grandmother will not shut up, nor will anybody else about how great things are for my cousins. I see who the favorite is. Thanks for closing the doors and leaving me out. I never needed you all anyhow. The next time I have a seizure or some other medical issue I'll just leave my phone off so I don't have to hear from you all ever again.

Travis i was born with a social disorder and people have always made fun of me for that. I would come home every day, and sit there and think to myself, why am i even here? I do not belong. Im a nobody. The depression got so bad that i had thoughts of suicide. But i learned how to accept myself for who i am and not let the hate of others drag me down. I am who i am and theres nothing i can do to change that, but you are only given one life, and you should live that life to the fullest. Just know that there is people out there that will help you fight through it. I promise if you stay positive and learn to accept who you are, you will get through it and come out a much better person. I wish you the best of luck and i hope things get better for you.

I had a hard time in high school and ended up dropping out, it's been 4 years since I've completed a school year and now that I'm 17 I've found the guts to go back, unfortunately I will have to go to an adult school since I'm so far behind and I've decided to vlog my journey of going back to school so I can understand. Please don't let other people bring you down, it will be hard but be strong and just let your love grow.

If you think about it, school is a jail. The government forces you to go, and will not let you leave if you want to unless you are bailed out by your parents. The food is less than nutritious. You're surrounded by questionable people. The only difference is that in you go home at the end of the day.

Exactly I've been trying to explain that to people, the government doesn't care about if you're bullied or not they care about new adults that will blindly work for them while they sit behind their desks counting the money and smoking their cigars

I feel you boogie I used to be the over weight kid all of grade school and I got picked on every day. I was lucky enough to turn that around and meet people that supported me and helped me through the tough times. Honestly I have a friend that I show your videos to some times and all that comes out of his mouth is terrible stuff, he must feel uncomfortable about the info and the lvl of knowledge you have about gaming. It's funny to me how people can criticize others so easily. I back you up all the way boogie I actually lost that friend because of his awful attitude and you helped me realize that man thank you a lot.

dwfmagik its his channel. He posts gaming, blogs, and scripted comedy skits. Either like it or not, many other people enjoy all the content he puts out, so don't complain about it. Insub is the perfect solution to your "problem", which isn't even a real problem, its you complaining about not having enough gaming content on this channel when there are THOUSANDS of gaming channels out there. How many channels, with almost 3 mil sub's, do you see reach out and personally help someone over the internet? So please, just shut up.

Boogie.... You have 1.8 MILLION subscribers.... That's a HUGE HUGE number! I guarantee you more than you would ever expect would show up to your panel at vidcon. And im sure if your feeling rough from walking around all day, when you finally get to sit down and sign autographs for those fans, I can guarantee you once again you will be humbled beyond belief. Those fans will be of so much inspiration that all that pain you feel will just disappear, and if that pain sticks around during that time, the fans would be more than obliged to cheer you up and get you feeling awesome... I know I would. Love ya boogie, you're awesome!

What I meant to say is that whatever you do, things will always go wrong at some point, because life implies interaction with other human beings, and some just don't care about others and end up hurting others in some ways. Now of course you can stand against those guys/things that hurt, but it will still hurt. As Trec93 said, you got to focus and care about good things. People bully you're different? So be it. At least you're not one of those sheeps, and that's HUGE!

So if tomorrow, a drunk driver drives over me, this is my fault? Come on. I never said it's never your fault. I said it's not always your fault, because you live with other people, that also make their own choices, which can be wrong, and end up hurt you, that being physicaly or mentaly.
