Things you need to know about this boss fight: Always stay in the air, never go down unless you have to wait for your jet pack to cool. ALWAYS go down after he has fired his big blue plasma projectile. NEVER go down while he is firing. THe projectiles are homing, and they will one-shot you. After he fires 3 normal projectiles and one blue, you have a respiro time, in which you can get down to cool your jet pack, and get back up in the air. Don't rush to get the rods. Just kill his minions with devastator or cannon. You have goodies like cannonballs and 100 health pack scattered, so you should be ok. Sometimes, it can be quite hard to stick that in his back, so to make it as easy as possible, gain thrust momentum, stop, and exactly as the momentum stops, you are pretty much inert in the air, so you can reliably stick it in his back. Oh, and Always get down to cool your jetpack whenever you get the chance. Don't bother shooting at him unless he has all of the rods in his back. With patience and this information, you can consistently beat this boss on any difficulty.

Due to being a prequel everyone familiar with the first encounter knew how this would end other than the last boss and the moon destroying earth of course; gives mooning the planet a whole new meaning XD The ending did feel a little flat but I don't really think there was much else they could've done as the story picks up immediately after in the first encounter so I think the ending was fine :)

Games got a pretty simple plot. Large alien invasion force led by Mental launches a full scale invasion on earth. Humanity is pushed back and is soon on the brink of extinction. So the only way for humanity to stand a chance is for Sam to use the timelock and travel to the past and cripple Mentals forces before they gain momentum like they did in this present timeline. Generally speaking though the games mostly about blowing the crap out of every horde of enemies in sight with big guns :)

Actually there are 4 Serious Sam's games . Serious Sam the First Encounter, Serious Sam the second Encounter, Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam 3 . But all in all i prefer more First&Second Encounter , Serious Sam 2 is way too cartoonish and lost interest and Serious Sam 3 is too overhyped doesn't have the real feeling of what Serious Sam was , they ruined it by making the game look like a CoD,Battlefield stuff instead to keep it Egyptian or more Hellish would be better imo . Sorry but the HD Serious Sam wasn't needed , it isn't what true fans atended, just a stupid cash/grab for the Game realisators is all i see in that , they could at least if they were intellectual enough to make a whole new game from Serious Sam in HD instead of a stupid copy of their previous game . 007Tubedude Actually, helmet-wise, kind of. That's about it, though. No, seriously, thinking about it. I have the old PC of "Second Encounter", and the post he makes on the case is very similar to Duke, only different shirt and hair colour, of course. Then there's the one-liners, only they're closer to two-liners. The major difference is the massive amounts of enemies Sam has. It was made to make FPS-players happy, and it did, there's no arguing with that. I'm just talking about the character alone. When you play a lot of Duke Nukem, then play Serious Sam, you'll see what I'm talking about.

***** No argument there. That's exactly why the series became so popular. I was not trying to say the games were bad, as I enjoyed playing what I played. Even the music was good. Especially one level where the music had that Medieval tone to it. I just meant the character himself seemed a little generic.

Great game! Finnished it quite quickly on normal, wouldn't dare the harder diffeculties xD And for anyone complaining that this game is changed too much, you can remove all those things or not use them at all...

No, not really. Sam isn't dead, he went through the Time Lock before Earth got destroyed, so he's "currently" in the past kicking ass. So if you want to know what happens to him, go play Serious Sam: The First Encounter and go from there.

Id say that Serious Engine 3.5 is way more impressive than Unreal Engine 3 considering how massive the levels are and how many enemies they manage to cram in on them at the same time.

Doing a Let's Play as this doesn't really require that much. Just need Windows Movie maker & a HD plugin though if you want more in depth editing then you can always pirate Sony Vegas Pro 10/11.
