Title: One Body, Many Members
Scripture: 1 Cor 12:12-31 NLT
Paul's call in 1 Corinthians 12 reminds us that we are one body with many members. This is a metaphor used to show that the body of Christ is the unique body committed through different voices, gifts, and walks of life to pursue Jesus, and make him known! The invitation to be a part of the body is for all that call on his name. Being a part of the body is not just a privilege, but it is a responsibility! How do we operate as a body that welcomes all people and gifts, and proclaims the name of Jesus above all else?
Although we come from different walks of life, the adversary's greatest fear is the body of Christ united in proclaiming the name of Jesus and operating as it was intended to be. When we understand our role, we can be united in purpose, committed to community, and empowered to carry the name of Jesus to every corner of the Earth!
