Wow, the part of God walking on water in the OT was profound. Jesus revealed Himself.

Tony, this hit me in a good way and revealed some things I was struggling with to understand. For years I was a Rastafarian, but then God drawed me to His Son in a moment of sincerity when I cried out to Him to reveal the truth to me, and I was drawn to His Son shortly after. I cut my dreadlocks the following weeks. I was blind for years, but God enabled me to see His Son. For years, I was butchering the Scriptures and misusing them to deify a Ethiopian emperor, and then that happened. And from that moment my life changed for the better, thank God. His mercy and grace I can cry about how pure and lovely it is, so full of love, our Creator is amazing and I live by it. I thank the Lord for the body of Christ planting and watering seeds, and I thank the Lord for giving the growth. Lord bless you.

Great opening and true statements, 100 years ago gay was the word for happy and today it has a total different meaning likewise with the term catholic we think about Roman catholicism but as you stated the RCC wasn't around and they do not own the word catholic as it means universial, in that sense the church of Christ is catholic. Gonna watch the rest and tell you how it was. Lord bless.

Wonderful sermon Dr. Costa. What do you say to those who say that God gives faith to all men, but it's up to them to believe?
@tonycostatorontoapologetic53074 күн бұрын
@dotero1817 in that case God doesn't choose, He waits for us to choose Him, which amounts to God being subject to His creatures, the Potter obeying the clay. God gives saving faith by grace to those whom He elects.

@@tonycostatorontoapologetic5307 thank you for your quick reply. I find this to be a sticking point for those who insist they chose to believe in Jesus by their own free will. Can you provide a few Bible verses that might help? Also, I had an elder at my church say, "no one is born elect." Can you address this?

@@dotero1817 John 6:44 which i mentioned in my sermon is crystal clear. On God's elect not born, but elected from the foundation of the world read Ephesians 1:3-to the end. Read it slowly because it is deep.
