Awesome video! Well organized and I appreciate that you had the camera stationary for either portion of filming. Great audio, video and lighting quality, too. Thanks!

Thanks for the video, Just picked up 4 Serpae today. I normally do not keep tetras but decided I needed a little more activity in a tank that only had Corys in it. You answered, I think, all of my questions. One thing I have already seen is that they are voracious eaters. lol I just fed them some flake food within a short time of introducing them to the tank. I don't normally don't do this but these guys just appeared hungry. And the food fight was on! I have no idea when they had been fed last but they ate like they were starving. I'll try them on some brine shrimp or bloodworms in the morning and see how things go from there.

I have 5 of these, 35G tank,, no heater, they share the tank with a 10 year old cichlid I saved 2 years ago. Tetras take the left of the tank, cichlid takes the right, my tetras are 4 years old now :)

Hi, thanks for the video! I think you have answered my question. I've kept tetras, gourami, and cories for years. And my most recent tank a 37 gallon has serpaes and black phantoms with a single neon blue gourami. Ive been considering putting a male and a couple females swords in the tank but have never cared for swords before. I think I will give them a shot now!

Hi I just looked up a vid for green tree frogs for a care guide and watched yours! Do you think it is a good pet? And should. I get a few instead of just 1?

What kind of algae eaters that go good with serpae tetras and that you can have two algae eaters in the same tank that eats the tank glass to the substrate

Thank you! i have three in a comunity tank. i HAVE caught them nipping at the african dwarf frogs BUT they arent doing any damage and seem to get along pretty well. I have a betta in there and they stay twards the bottum and dont bother the betta since its only at the bottum when it is resting. keep in mind this is a 10 gallon tank, and i plan to upgrade in the future! i dont beleive in overstocking your tank unless its like full to the top but as long as its clean its all fine.

I can’t physically get a 20 gallon for them at the moment, have a 10 gallon - hopefully later down the road - also very new to planted tanks, is it possible to have silk fake plants at the moment as well? I’m hoping to get real plants as well but currently also not available for me at the moment My brother gave me a single Serpae tetra because it was being aggressive to my sister in law’s other fish and killed some. (They didn’t know they needed more.) - again, hoping to get a better setup but I wanted to make sure it’s ok with everything I have at the moment for them

Hi there.... Recently one of my tetra started to have a fungus like infection in the tail...so I isolated him and started using Epsom salt for the treatment (this is what the vet told me to do)(recently hes not picking up the calls) The water conditions are good in the isolation tank and I have even added hiding spaces for the tetra...but the tetra seems to lose colour and the fungus like infection in growing larger Pls help
