Moksh is not about leaving the body. Many siddhas have attained Nirvana being alive including Buddha. Moksh is liberation from इच्छा, विचार, आशा, भाव, गुण, भोग, etc. Rebirth happens because of unfulfilled इच्छा, and unattainable भोग.
