Serpentine Belt Pulley Upgrades for Evo X (Solution to shredded belts)

It wasn't long after buttoning up the downpipe and subframe project before I shredded my first belt. This is a more common issues on higher mileage and higher power evos that create pitting in the OEM plastic idler wheels. Here, I show how to upgrade to a bulletproof solution to tolerate the higher engine powers and speed.

hey man. how did you take out the whole tensioner assembly? did you remove the pulley out of the tensioner before taking out the whole tensioner?

Needed this! I did not get the Hyundai bolt in my kit, so I don't have the gasket you mentioned in minute 7:52. Do I need to get it?

I could really use the extra help because this is the same thing that happen to me with my base lancer I had to change the serpentine belt twice because it kept on shredding does anyone know how I can fix it? Like I said, I could use the extra help.

I did this as well but had to had mitsu do it after i changed the belt twice in two days

Question man, when the belt would rip did it also start to feel softer or mushy?

Hey man! question, Why did you take out the whole tensioner? Also my tensioner pully is wobbling causing a squealing noise, i got it out, but can i tighten the new pully back on tight enough with the tensioner still bolted to the car?

I took it out to inspect it, make sure it was still durable enough for my liking to be reused. its only 2 extra minutes

This was so long ago but if I remember it was around 38 ft lbs.
