Jagath why we can’t use gears instead of these timing and other pulleys..? Gears eliminate fear of malfunctioning of these rubber belts..!

Yes.. Gears gives very precise drive but in overhead cam engines the distance between crank and camshaft is more.. So using gears are not economical.. And gears are very noisy
