Our family owned one like that,the same year even, biggest difference is that ours had the sink and cabinets on the opposite side and the furnace was built into the cabinet,ours had a gas/electric refrigerator and it also had the canvas bunk in it.Dad bought it used in 1972 and it was in our family until I sold it after Mom's passing in 2007,at the same time one of our neighbors bought a new '72 Scotty with the raised roof,those were/are nice little units for a small family,yours is very nice 👍

When I was in high school I actually lived in a camper like this with my grandmother. We were in the backyard of my aunts house. For bathing, electric etc. But some times I wish I could go back to that. She's not here anymore more but, lots of memories.

I had a 1972 that had the same child bed so I'd say yours is original. A man just gave me one of these 1967 campers. I have to drive 800 miles to get it. A couple questions: I have a brand new set of 14" radial trailer tires, wheels, hubs and bearings. Do you think they will fit? What is the interior height? I'm 5'10". Thanks!
@bobarcher7729 Жыл бұрын
You will enjoy the gift. They are fun little trailers. I can not answer your question about the tires and height. I think the interior height is 6 foot. I am 6'1" and can not quite stand up. There are some great forums online to answer technical questions. Mine is packed away for the winter and I can not get into it at the moment.

I'm kinda late to the party, but....in case you're still checking messages...do you happen to know how tall the interior is? Thinking about buying one of these...
@bobarcher77292 жыл бұрын
Sure. I went out to measure. It's about 69.5 - 70 inches maximum inside height.

Very nice video Bob, I have a 1984 that is in similar condition. My uncle sold me his because he is 6'4" and cant get around like he used to. Says he needs more space but it's a gem for sure. P.S I keep her in the polebarn like a debutante!⚘

Hello, I'm currently redoing my 1968 Gacho, so this was a big help, but can you please tell me what number this is? I see lots of people say "1968 Gacho '15" or "13" so it is so hard to tell, thanks
@bobarcher77292 жыл бұрын
I have always thought of it as a Gaucho 13. 15 if you count the tongue length. Thanks for your comment and good luck restoring your own. They are so fun and handy to have.

Hi Bob, love this video. Watch it over & over. Question... I have the same model Scotty & looking for the plug for shore power. Did you make that plug adapter? I can't find one anywhere. I'd like to keep Scotty as original as possible rather than convert to a new plug. Let me know. Thanks in advance. Michelle
@bobarcher77293 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle, thanks for your kind words. The electrical adapter was in the trailer when I got it. I have never seen another one and wish I knew where to direct you to find one for yourself. I have a '68 Highlander also and converted it to a standard plug so it will adapt right to an extension cord. If I ever find another I will let you know. Bob

Thanks for the comment Jim. I've been known to do a little voice work on the side. penwoodbob.com I am asking quite a high price for this Scotty $8,500 firm. Because I don't mind keeping it. But if someone would give it a good home for 85 I would let it go.
