1st thing I'm building is an amusement park! Those rides would take up so much space so I can't wait to have a fully realized amusement park in my game!

Other than the initial quest with Merlin, moving his house to Plaza Island at his request, and then doing some decorating around his home/library, I haven't had a chance to explore or create much. (I have unlocked them all, though.) I am only on Page 3 or so of the Star Path and only have level 7 Friendship with Sally even after playing many hours. Those are my initial main targets for completion along with tending - as much as I can - both Eternity Isle and Storybook Vale. So, not much to report here, but thank you Serroh for your positive outlook on what we did receive and the potential for the future. I just hope that when players want certain changes, they ask politely instead of demanding like a bunch of bonkers baboons. 😇

Some people haven’t been happy dealing with ponds and rivers when decorating so maybe that’s why there is no water.

Thank you for always putting a positive spin on the additions to the game. Are they perfect? Will they please everyone, no, but like you said, this was free content. I love ANY new content! I love having a place/canvass for creating Dreamsnaps. I haven't been spending a lot of time on them, but the islands give me a place to play around without changing my valley. If that was the only reason to love them, that's enough. I also think they will be something that will be continually improved and updated.

Hi Serroh! thank you for always covering absolutely everything! I always know I can count on you! I planted a bunch of pumpkins on the floating sunlit island. I had no issue, and was able to water them.. I guess we will see if they actually grow.. I didn't even think about it not working..

I really like the floating islands. I play on switch and since i don't have the 6000 item limit this helps. Really love the rotation of items. I appreciate everything Gameloft has done and is doing. Anyway i have no complaints and love this game. I also appreciate everything you do for the community. Thank you.

@Lilitha11 - That is exactly what I plan to do as soon as I finish the Star Path and max out friendship with Sally. I initially had my Disney Theme Park on Elsa's side of the bridge in the Forest of Valour but it was so cramped I couldn't fit everything in there and my paths were only double-tile width so it was hard to navigate at times. I am looking forward to transforming Forest Island into a large theme park with room to expand when new rides are added. Now that I have cleared out some spaces in my Valley, there is more room for character houses everywhere except for Dazzle Beach. (My Plaza is my commercial area for the Valley except for Mickey and me. :)

I was turning my Plaza Floating Island into a Garden area and I managed to plant every crop from the Valley, Storybook Vale and Eternity Isle with still half the island to spare. I've noticed that you've said a few times you don't think memories can spawn, but they do! I got three so far on my Plaza Floating island. Not sure if you found that out yet but I thought id share. Edit: Not sure if the memories I found on the island was for digging or gardening because I have not picked them up yet. Waiting for star path duty to collect them.

I like that the ancient machines will water crops. Since I just want a reserve as I cook tis works for me and is looking good as I start moving crops.

The villager spawns aren't buggy, they work the same way as anywhere else. The villagers won't show up if they're currently in their houses, a restaurant, or Scrooge's. You still need the bonfire, Coco stage, etc. If you want to pull people from those locations to the islands.

My valley villagers are all moving to the Floating Islands, going to decorate all of the Floating islands. No night thorns, no spices, ToM also no problem, no item limit.. My Valley will be My place for Dreamsnaps! The whole valley is almost empty, real easy to find a blue chest or event items. I've read that compagnion houses also don't work on the Floating Islands? Haven't checked that yet.

I have a huge orchard and farm in my valley that I wanted to move up to a floating island to make room for decorating....before I realised I can't move the fruit trees once I was on the island😢

I moved so much stuff to the new Vale and that freed up so much space in Eternity Isle and the Valley that I don't even need to use the floating islands at all... so thank you Gameloft for giving me 4 options for Dreamsnaps and I no longer have to wreck all my design work in the main areas. I do hope they fix that bug of not all villagers being able to visit the island. I wonder if hanging out with each of them not visiting and leaving them stuck there in a fence will work if you need a certain group of them for a DS.

I think the fact that they added water furniture slots to some of the pools and pond furniture items is a sign that we’ll be able to move and place ponds at some point (maybe even only on the floating islands)

The reason there isn’t water surrounding the islands is because these are FLOATING islands. If there was water, our valley would be under water! 🐠🐟🐡

I wouldn’t be surprised if they add a water section in the terrain options that just has a variety of really large ponds that are big enough to put a house on. That would let us get those villagers up there without making an actual terraforming feature.

I love the islands for decorating but I am hoping they will add a feature to put down water. Because those are amazing for builds and dreamsnaps

You can put down some of your own water features.... I used ponds and waterfalls that I have and it looks good... I know it's not actually the same... but it's a start

It's funny you mention not being able to move the shop. Because let's say you want to make the vale your main place, you can't move stuff like Daisy's boutique or any of the other valley-related items there like Mulan or Tiana's stalls, let alone the garden or fishboat.

I wish the Forgetton Lands had a floating Island. I had plans for Jack and Sally that got scrapped because they never gave us that floating island.

Yes, the floating islands are a part of the free update we just got on 12/4/2024, but they cost 15,000 dreamlight each, besides the plaza island they gave us for free. Luckily I have been playing since the beginning, so I had plenty of dreamlight to get the remaining three.

I noticed with placing items on water items that it didn't work as well if you had your water item at an angle.

I would have really liked to be able to move all the stalls to my garden island. That would have been ideal. What would be cool actually is maybe a premium shop item that has all the seeds available that you can place anywhere. I would pay for that.

If they ever add a Dazzle Beach floating island, I hope they put water spaces around it for those type of houses. Or maybe expand Ariel's Island into a new beach biome (it seems to load separately like the Floating Islands we just got).

I have placed all amusement rides, woody's carousel and buzz's rv in the forest floating island. The frosted heights floating island has beast castle, the winter castle skin (player house), vanelope house and racetrack, and the sugar candyhouse skin (player house). Going to place on sunlit plateau floating island, stitch's house, hawaiian house skin (player house). All lion king is on eternity isle. I now don't fight with item limit on the switch.😀

@angelbaby2881 - I read somewhere that the ancient gardeners work the same as they do elsewhere: only 4 gardeners per biome/island. However, you can put down the largest ancient gardeners and just keep rotating crops through those 4. Two plantings and harvests per gardener nets 70 or more (depending on the crop) harvestables to add to your stock and/or sell.

I think the floating islands will expand over time. I think the devs wanted to see how they would work and then later expand on them. I saw that you brought a friend up to an island, did you just fast travel and then your friend came with you? I wasn't sure how we would get to the floating islands. It just looks like we can only fast travel to them. I haven't had a chance to explore the islands yet. I saw you were decorating I saw that you had rows of frogs and then you had another row in the middle. Does it stop in the middle or can we expand to the edge of the island? I'm looking forward to how they will expand the floating islands in a future update. I have a separate question, I have over 15,000 Dreamlight. Should I unlock another realm or another floating island? I have Monster's Inc. and Mulan left. Which realm do you suggest I open next? Should I grind up more Dreamlight and then decide. I remember you saying you only need one floating island to start out with. Were you also surprised that you got one floating island for free? I was. I thought Merlin would tell us to gather 15,000 Dreamlight.

I like the islands, for now I would only use them in Dreamsnap situations. Mainly because you can't put your own house or Goofy's stalls there. I do believe there should be a hot fix because it's buggy here and there. So hopefully they also add the Goofy Stalls option in there; market/farming galore!

You use your dreamlight tokens to unlock them. Choose the ones locked and it should pop up the dreamlight cost.

Serroh and community I have a question! Is anyone else’s animal houses not working on floating islands or in general? I was going to make a giant animal island and placed a bunch of critter houses. When I click into it and select the four animals then go out nothing happens. I tried to go to my main island and they’re not working there now either. I have a Nintendo switch. Serroh can you please test this out? I’m wondering if it is just me or not. Thanks! 😊

So, I made a stage and concert on my plaza island with the last starpath items. Put the fireworks from that as well. Used it and--it kept making the fireworks noise and not stopping. No fireworks but sound still there. Next day it still was doing it! Had to remove the firework to stop it! Did this happen to anyone else?

I have no need for it. I've never had a problem with space in the valley. With the unlimited itens, I suppose this is a way to add more background tags when designing dreamsnaps? Maybe use it as a practice space for designs?

Fireflies were from the Dapper Delights Star Path and the craft table is a Scrooge Shop item.

Floating islands don't solve for dreamsnaps vs decorating as I might want multi lvl dreamsnaps or have buildings in snaps and primary builds. Hence why I still want valley/biome presets. Floating islands are good but they haven't solved things that presets would

I can guarantee that's not 1000 frogs. I just dug up 1 island and it's only 62 by 62 which is only 3660 plots per island.

A dig spot takes up four squares. So does 1 path. A frog takes up one square.

I appreciate you constant positive attitude, but I will say that there is A LOT that the GAMELOFT developers need to learn and do that are just basic & it’s annoying how bad their service responses are.

I need the blaming of the Nintendo Switch for features not happening or changing to not be an acceptable excuse. They offer this game on that system so they should build everything with that in mind from the beginning and not let that hold back their development. We need to stop giving them a pass for false advertising features and clear lack of quality control before rolling out updates and marketing material. I love this game, it's super fun, but there are too many bugs and "oopsy" errors every single update and there seems to be no change in how they do things to minimize them more. I feel like the developers are too detached from the actual play experience and that is why not all potential glitches are thought about. Also, as a Switch user, I would also be ok if there were discrepancies like giving non-switch rivers as there already are differences like how the green fairy dress from the premium shop has see through fabric on the side for non-switch but it's solid on the switch. They already have differences between how PlayStation. Again, I am fine with the floating islands working however they want them to work, but the marketing not thinking about goofy's stall in the picture the glitch of the new feature of water items not being allowed because of I am sure some code related to what removed the original intent of having a water feature are just negligence. At the end of the day, this is a game, so it's not that serious, but we all pay money to play this game and continue to in the premium shop and with expansion as we so choose so wanting some higher standards on their development I think is ok.
