“We’re gonna go ahead and add a little bit of distortion.” The next sentence “alright we’re going to turn the drive all the way up” 🤣

Your videos are amazing! Any Leon switch, Kelly dean style workflow tutorial? Would love a tutorial on this deep dark experimental style of left field bass, call and response with resampled bass audio chops

Very nice sound, I love it. I feel like I over complicate sound design sometimes and you always ground me a bit with yours, showing we don't need crazy shit to make crazy sounds. Good work!
@QUACkTUTS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy. I find a lot of times a sound I’m working on will sound great and then I’ll just keep throwing more and more effects and filters on it until it’s just a mess lol. Always good to save a copy of the sound before messing with it more.

Can you do it in Massive?
@QUACkTUTS3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t touched Massive in ages lol. But the same techniques should apply regardless of the synth. Find a similar wave table and the rest should be pretty easy.

@@QUACkTUTS I figured ha ha but yea man I love your videos! Keep them up man! I think that's the fun part for me , me following your videos and trying to recreate the bass in Massive.

How did you add the 2nd ring mod filter to the sound when you had to use combs twice?
@QUACkTUTS3 жыл бұрын
I used SerumFX in the post processing chain. If you don’t have it, it’s free if you own Serum!

I think the vibrato of the bass is unnecessary, although with a little distortion you can also make the bass of the song Dong by Marauda. Anyway I loved the tutorial.
@QUACkTUTS2 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy, I tend to go a bit overboard with my sounds lol. Less is definitely more sometimes.

How come it’s called sustain bass?
@QUACkTUTS Жыл бұрын
That’s just the general term people give this type of sound. Basically it’s just one long note rather then a bunch of repeating ones or a quick stab.
@QUACkTUTS Жыл бұрын
Theres no movement like an lfo or anything modulating it.
