I recently joined the Scathach club. Thank you New Years banners. Now, I have to say, before getting her, I couldn't understand why she was so hyped up. I can now see why though. She is wonderful, especially when you've got her "sexier sister" also running around your Chaldea.

I'd have made Scathach lvl 100, 10/10/10 max foued (still working on that bit, a little over half way done. I only started the game last year, gimme a break) for waifu reasons even if she wasn't good. Got her in to NP 2 in the New Year banner, got Skadi as my first ever SSR with one summon ticket on her first banner, so I've been ready for Scathach for a long time.

I'm glad someone did a video breaking her down for 2020, I've had her since she first dropped in November of 2017 on NA. I grailed her to level 100 and have been using her ever since. So it's nice to see someone doing an updated video on how best to use her in a Skadi-Merlin world. I've been using her as my main damage dealer, and I don't have Skadi so I have to get her crit stars and buff her in other ways.

Nice breakfown. Shishou: my 2021 GSSR :) I have her at max level but her skills needs more materials (fortunately it is not the same level og "more materials" as Eresh skills). My thoughts: The real issue with her is charging her NP. If you have Waver and Skadi then fine, give Black Grail to Shishou and look at those juicy hundred of thousands damage dealt with Gae Bolg, but otherwise charging her NP gauge manually can be real pain. Unfortunately her not so great hit count on her quick cards and only one art card make CEs like divine banquet not so effective as you could hope. As for Decapitating Bunny, yeah, it is good CE. Having ignore evade/ignore invincible CEs ready to use can sometimes make some quest a lot easier. You just need to know who has invincibility or evade since it is pointless to give that kind of CE to your servants when you are fighting e.g. Waver or Salter. I'm not so sure for Osakabehime support. I mean, yeah, she is decent support, but her most valuable buffs comes form her NP which you should constantly try to charge, and with Scathach already struggling with her NP generation it can end up in some nasty situations (like having 98% of NP gauge - that hurts). But of course it is my opinion, so... Gameplay aside, I'm waiting for her bunny outfit :)

I think it's important to mention that Scathach has a weird deck and if you get Brave Chains with her, much like Summer Nobu, you want to actually lead off with either Arts or Quick, then Buster-Buster due to how many hits it has. Despite what you might think, those Buster Cards can generate hella NP if you lead with the Arts due to the six-hit count, and the same holds true even moreso for Star Gen if you lead off with the Quick. This is much more effective in an actual Brave Chain and much less so if you only have two of her cards, because that Extra card is so important for extra star and NP gen. So with this in mind, I'd actually seriously recommend Summer BB as a partner just to lock in that Brave Chain if it ever shows. Just don't activate BB's first skill until you're outside of Shishou's crit burst turn.

If only they would switch the hit count between her Quick and Buster. Or at least average them out. 6 hits on Buster is a complete waste. She would be much stronger with that simple change.

ABQ or BQA depending on the hp of the enemy and crit rng. ABB deals more damage but has slightly less NP gain than ABQ, but it depends on the crit rng

Atm I think she is a bit weak. Sure sure if you are using her to cheese Gil or Catjuna then its all good. She can fk them up really well but besides that she is a mehhhh servant tbh. Imho the only reason to pull for her is you are prolly gettin a few SOSF in the process. And ya all know how fkin good SOSF is.... Imho SOSF is the best CE in the game by far for Arts looping (excluding MLB BG ofc cuz not many Arts servants can loop with that thing and not many players have access to it) and the fact this is prolly the best possible rate up for it (spoiler next year SOSF will only be put on rate up with Benienma ONLY so less you are really into the Tongue-Cut Sparrow... better pull it now) makes a banner for sb who is as weak as Shishou EXTREMELY tempting. Treat it as a Kaleidoscope rate-up you just HAVE TO pull if you really care about Arts looping at all especially when the pinnacle of Arts looping is coming in just 19 months ! Also this is prolly the best banner in the first quarter of the year to spend your quartz on (next good banner is Ooku Lab in April) less you REALLY REALLY love Illya or Melt ofc. But to my experience neither of these girls are as good as MHXA even against Assassins who they are supposed to stomp... MHXA is just too fkin busted to ignore and her design is just too good imho. S tier servant and best ST looper in the game till the age of Vlad in 2022.

I feel like she's very outdated Intel her buff next year. We just have better 5* lancers in the game. Is a shame because I love her and I did get her on my gssr pull even if I am still not sure if that was good luck or bad.

Based on her stats, the only thing that bugs me is her np gain and Star drop rate due to her low hit counts. I havent testen her out yet so I dont want to be too harsh. But since I have brynhildr and enkidu I would say they perform better Overall. Up until now scathach was a bosskiller for me personally but it looks to me like thats all there is to it.

@@UndeadEggmiester Bryn is indeed can be stronger but I don't know if she is actually "better". Of course her buster + NP up effectiveness and Crit support is great, but in my opinion her lack of survival skills makes her a little to fragile. Great team fighter but not as good when her support or some who she is supporting will die ;) Enkidu on the other hand is total opposite. His skills and overall kit makes him great lancer, who is generating stars with his 3 quick cards and use this stars to fuel his NP generation. However if you cannot make him produce and use those stars constantly his usefulness is much lower, so he should be mainly used as soloer/last man standing. Scathach is a little bit both. Thanks to her 2 and 3 skills great at dealing huge amount damage like Bryn, but her 1 skill percentage activation chances makes her inconsistent crit lancer. On the other hand she can perform quite well when left alone. So I would say she is more versatile than those two mentioned before. It is my opinion based on my personal experience from using those three, so your way of looking at them may be different. As for Tamamo Lancer... she has self-stun and charm, right? Thanks to DW nowadays boses has this irritating anti-charm gimmicks and so characters like Kid Gil, Alexander and Euryale becomes much less usefull... Guess it is one of the curses of ever changing meta in gatcha games...

Scathach is pronounced ska-haa, so it has no hard k at the end. Every pronunciation guide related to Irish or the Ulster cycle follows this. However, some "pronouncethis" page which is the first Google result says to use the hard K, so that may have mislead you
