Another way to buff her NP, aside from giving it damage, is to just change its card type to either facilitate spamming her NP or crapping out more crit starts -- but that's even more unlikely than the damage buff. They obviously gave her stupid NP gain to balance out the Buster card's big fat bullshit, but they couldn't see how bad that would turn out. The route they went is honestly pretty weird; it's not like she would've been an NP spamming machine since she'd still need a brave chain, and she's a support. They should've just made it a Quick card, or given her lower NP gain, if that was the issue.

There is one exception to the meme team issue, where having such bonkers attack actually makes sense: special dmg up buffs. Special damage up buffs may initially look like your average separate buff that stacks multiplicatively with every other buff, but you'd be sorely mistaken if you believed that. Special damage up from things like Art of Death, Jack the Ripper's NP, and event damage bonuses for specific servants stacks additively with NP dmg and Crit dmg buffs. If you want to verify this, try using The Black Grail on a 100% event damage servant. Instead of the +220% damage you'd expect from a NP, you only get +160% damage from that NP. This means the only buffs that actually stack multiplicatively with special dmg up are Atk up/Def down, quick up, buster up, and arts up. While it's true you should balance the command card buff numbers and the atk/def modifiers as closely as possible for maximum damage, the fact that NP dmg and Crit dmg buffs are not a part of that makes it more forgiving. It's also why you see far more impact with Star Absorption on special dmg up characters than normal since dealing a crit more consistently rather than increasing crit damage becomes important for anyone using special dmg up. One example of when you might legitimately want the meme team is if multiple servants on the field get special dmg up bonuses. For example, if Elizabeth and Ishtar had 30-100% special damage up from being event servants, then you might actually want to have that wide 80% attack buff since applying area wide command card buffs achieve lower values. If not, maybe the servants themselves has their own command card buff within their kit. Ereshkigal has a stonky buster buff and even more buster from her NP overcharge after all. Make no mistake, special damage mulitpliers that is specifically tied to an NP and not a buff, the difference being it doesn't give you a buff icon, will stack multiplicatively with NP strength up. This means things like Gilgamesh's NP and Siegfried's NP. If the NP gives a Special Dmg up buff like Jack the Ripper and Tawara Touta, then it's the type that stacks additively with NP strength up and Crit Dmg. So yes, the NP damage up buff from Gilgamesh's NP does increase the damage overall by 1.3x.

Good guide, many people see Stheno trash but she is not, actually she can work on many teams as a staller and buffer to some servants. I have Stheno NP5. When the opponent boss is male I have this meme team of all of the sisters since I have them (Euryale, Stheno, Medusa, Anna, and Gorgon). They are very entertaining that way to see the opponent get chained stun/charm.

Thing really worth noting about Stheno: she has the same silly thing going on with Carmilla where, at base, she has extremely high NP gain on her Quick cards. Like, a stone's throw away from what Jack can do. So you can use her NP bizarrely often and even stack up its defense debuff on occasion.

Back when I played the game for the first time around September, I used to think getting Stheno in the tutorial gacha (alongside good ol Sumanai) was a win for me, turns out I was wrong once I got to Orleans. For anybody that went through her interludes (which is two too many), I'm sorry you suffered through the biggest waste of time ever and for the 3rd time actually. I didn't have a high opinion of her before then but actually doing those (and rewatching the scene of the 1st Nerofest) made me despise her even more. This is one servant that I will never max level. Her ass can stay at 70 and to spite her more, I'll make sure to run a triple Medusa/Gorgon team against her. Fuck Stheno.

@NombreGenerico777 (I should've answered you earlier, sorry about that.) Septum has you meeting her and having your time wasted with treasure that isn't there before deciding 'oh yeah, I should lead you back to plot or something'. Both Tamamo Cat and Liz were shoehorned into the Singularity for no rhyme or reason but at least other events would 'flesh out' those two. So naturally, Stheno gets 2 interludes which is more than her sisters, standard Cu, and Medea who all have been around since launch, just like her, meaning that the interludes must be good, right? Hah! April Fool's is months away and yet this is as bad of a joke imaginable, despite getting quartz from them each. There's very little difference between the interludes aside from some of the battles and story bits. Interlude 1 has Stheno charming you and Romani (who sends you down after originally being against it and calling out her crap from Septum) in order to hunt for treasure that's located in an area that was wrecked by wretches. This ultimately has you fighting Chimeras, the undead, and Medusa, who of course got threatened to fight you. After all of that, the treasure is...Stheno, who was hiding inside. What a mess! as the Master puts it. Interlude 2 has Mash immediately saying that they won't be roped into what Stheno has requested, despite the latter saying that the purpose is different...and barely defending herself on the matter. Master is barely affected but you get sent down again because Romani is still under her spell. You eventually see Medusa again but this time you fight copies of her in the same battle. After that, Stheno appears and spouts her toxic nonsense of 'The star always arrives late' in 'hopes of cleaning up a little sister's mishap' because 'if someone is making Master suffer, then need to be mercilessly rid of' and all of this is with her egotistical Goddess complex. So we get to fight Medusa...again. This time instead of fighting a wave of three Medusas, we get to fight two waves...of three Medusa. Everyone's energy is zapped except Steno, obviously, with the excuse (to her delight) that could if materialized as a servant during the Age of Myths as well as getting used to this like Euryale. tl;dr Stheno's interludes are such a waste of time and have her doing the same crap again and again, to inconvenience you and barely being apologetic in the slightest. This is technically my opinion of her being a shitty servant character but I get much more interests from seeing somone with actual emotions. Euryale is a bitch to Medusa but still dwarves her twin by a country mile for having better character outside of bullying the youngest sister while having sweet moments with Asterios (good boy). Edward Teach is a dirtbag but he's one of those colorful love/hate characters that while being a pervert, he's creative and funny. Rider of Resistance, while I do dislike him for the ugliness he shows (one of which is implied but not certain), did train up civilians to better defend themselves. Stheno just...has nothing aside from her tactic of 'Adore me (Serra from Fire Emblem)' and her bullying of Medusa. Stheno's skills are actually pretty good other than SIRENS SONG but if she had an appropriate deck I feel like she'd be more viable

when first time playing the game, I got Stheno as my first servant, but back then in confused of how tf does a buster NP deals no freaking damage at all? some couple days later I got Shuten and decided to feed Stheno to her, and I try to forget that I ever got Stheno.
