Service Series #5: T25 Transmission Oil and Oil Filter

They don't mention removing the rear Tyre to gain access to slip out the hydraulic screen. Also, as I and Denny from the Rusted channel found out, if you put too much torque on the hydraulic return line you will get a hairline crack where there is a mounting tab. Luckily I saw Dennys video and recognized what was happening. My neighbour TIG welded it and it's been fine ever since. The other thing of note is how easily the bolts came off! Does not happen on the 50hr service as the bolts are wayyyyy overtightened from the factory! Cheers from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦

TYM made this look so easy but it was a serious pain to perform this service. If you go to Tony's Tractor Adventures here on the Tube he will show you how without editing out the hard parts.

I have a T224. I need to do the 50-hour change. I have never done this before. I cannot find any information on what type of transmission oil is used. Do I use standard transmission oil or the same oil that is used for the front axle?

Would it be possible to get a service series like these videos for the T224? I'll be taking delivery in 2 weeks and there's not much info online.

I would support that. I am now at my 50-hour tune up and having issues with finding any information on this. I bought this tractor in 2021 and have had very little issues with it. The only big issue I had, was a cracked fuel tank. It was still under warranty so, was able to get a new tank. The tank was cracking at the seam. The new tank has a reinforced seam which tells me they corrected the problem in the newer tractors.
