Great review, very good product knowledge. The 750’s cab is the old Super Duty cab from 2011-2016. The lower coin holder is where the trailer brake controller would go on a pickup; the upper coin holder is where the 4x4 knob would be on the pickup. The TorqShift 6 trans in this application is basically the same as the F250 diesel - F550, but the F650/750 version has a few heavier duty components. I’d say instrumentation is lacking compared to a Navistar, Freightliner, or KW because it is essentially a pickup truck gauge cluster. However, the interior is fairly cohesive. Thanks for the review. These are good looking trucks.

350hour oil change interval for a service truck. that is how you get the longest life with the least amount of problems from the engine. i would also look into a high micron oil filter bypass setup

I know this is an old video, but it is very well done. Thank you. I'm being offered my choice of an F750 or a KW T270. The KW is horribly cramped and uncomfortable to drive. I haven't driven the F750 yet.

The KW has an 11' Knapheide body and Stellar 10621. This is a 25,900 gvwr truck. I drove the F750 today (in cab/chassis form). The Ford is a much more comfortable truck to drive. Way more leg room and more space in the cab in general. It is a 33,000 gvwr truck and will be getting a 14' IMT Dominator 3 and 30' IMT 10000 crane. Kind of a no-brainer really, with the longer body and crane. But I think if the body/crane package on both trucks were identical, I would still choose the Ford. I spend way too much time in that cab to be uncomfortable. I'll take the trade off of max torque for comfort.

Pretty accurate review. We’ve got two 2017 f-650 extended cabs at work. For a 26,000LB truck they are under powered with the power stroke & always over weight. To make a 33,000LB truck have the same drive train is a terrible idea. Also I’m very confused why you derated a 33,000LB truck down to 26,000LB. If you wanted a 26,000LB truck due to not requiring a class B to drive, why not just buy a 650? The whole point of a 750 is to get that extra 9,000 LB capacity.
@qtequipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian!! We have customers that buy the 750 derated because they want the heavier axles (available in 750 but not in 650) but still be under CDL. Price is pretty close...
@richardsavaglio6615 жыл бұрын
That’s a nice truck!! Could I put a dom 4 with a 14,000 boom on that chassis? I would NOT want a derated chassis as I have a A cdl. Jared knows who I am. I met and talked to him about the dom 4 with a bunch of options like the bigger boxes, rear D rings, reinforced bumper for pulling from D rings, top middle access in the bumper, extra turn signals and marker lights in the wheel wells in place of the tire chocks,,,,
@richardsavaglio6615 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Applegarth dom 4 IS available in a single axle configuration. It sounds like you may have looked at my KZbin page because my current truck is black.

I don’t have my truck blacked out. I have stainless and chrome everywhere and ended up outlining every body door with reflective tape. I primarily work at night and I need all the help that I can get.
@qtequipment5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Richard!! We’ve never put a Dom 4 on a 750 but looking through the specs, I don’t see a reason why we couldn’t. Going to have Jared triple check this for us just in case we missed something. You dream it, we build it baby!! Thanks for checking out our videos…

Why not put the 110 outlet were it can be plugged into from outside the truck standing on the ground , next would be disc brakes .

does this truck ever stop high idle i just got one and every time i engage air brakes it fast idles and doesn't stop?
@qtequipment2 жыл бұрын
I've got one of our service guys looking at this. Unfortunately, we don't have one in the shop to test but the 750s should cycle up and down between high and low idle based on what compressor is running and input from the handset. The air brakes should have nothing to do with it. This is just based on how we wire everything up, obviously there may be a reason behind this depending on your application. If its a service truck (any make) and you need help from our tech support, just call 330-724-3055. If its not a service truck, we probably will not be able to assist. Thanks!

Interesting, some shortcomings some nice things. I think the Kenworth, Peterbilt chassis and powertrain options make better field tools. I realize Ford wants to play but they just don't think about the operator or his issues very well yet after all the last thing you should have to think about is your unit when your solving problems with someone else's unit right?

Amen! Downtime gets expensive quick!!
@olegk455 Жыл бұрын
Damn. You nailed it. That is exactly why I am looking at Peterbilt service truck, rather than an average F550 set up that is always overloaded and struggling in the mine environment. Last thing I want to do is constantly work on my own truck.

Thanks for watching! Last year these were going for in the $155,000 range depending on options. Would have to re-run pricing for current but that gets you in the ballpark. We have not shipped to the UK before. Several other places around the world including some right hand drive. Hopefully, one day we will get the opportunity!
