It is a very good presentation,really good, the module design and engineering is further more then whats is need for its application;to lock and unlock a door with electronic control... the mechanism and parts are to fine and well designed to do its job simple lock and unlock doors. There is simple way to do the same job with less parts and simple engineering,but there is always the long road and the short cut.

For those getting new tools, the 2 bolts holding the whole module are called XZN, not the usual Torx. Don't use Torx for those or you'll probably "screw" the bolts.

Yes, you have the reason, isn´t the Torx tool, you have to use Triple square or Bristol tool, M6 or M5 mm, I don´t understand why people make videos and say wrong information, causing damaging your job, and make you spent lots of time and money..

Indeed he used XZN m8, but he said torx xD but the tool has 12 pans and not 6.

Very good guide. 👍 But it is not necessary to remove the window motor, it is a complete unit. You do not have to remove the window. it is enough to push it up and fasten it to the frame with adhesive tape. 😉

Hello! You can not push up the window if you don’t remove the window motor.

@@Servicetutorials yes but you can connect the window switch to operate the motor till you align the two screws to disconnect the window and just attach it with adhesive tape like he said...easier than removing window+rail+tweeter etc Thanks btw your video helped me alot!

Thankyou TUTORIALE AUTO, I still can't attach the actuator rod/pin whilst the lock is connected to the door, what tool do I need to remove the star shaped screw from the front of lock please, I don't think I can attach the actuator rod/pin whilst the lock is still attached to the door panel.
