Is the mainspring barrel plastic?!

Nope. It has a satin finish to it, which does make it look a little like plastic on camera.

How long does the whole process take? How often is it needed? And, how much?

I can usually get an entire service done in about 4 hours, give or take. The length of time between services is really dependent on how often the watch is worn, under what conditions, etc. but typically it's recommended every 5-7 years. Did you end up regulating this further? If so - what kind of sec/day and amplitude did you get from this?

Yes. I typically let the movements run in for 2 or 3 full winds and then regulating it again. And of course when I sell a watch, I regulate it for a final time before packing it up. I got this movement regulated to +/- 10 s/d at 230-255 degrees amplitude.

I cannot afford that much amount(on your web site) to acquire a Hamilton watch,though I am mad of that wonderful brand.Can you offer a very good but simple Hamilton mechanical watch at a cheap rate to me?That does not mean I am lowering the credit/merit of the brand.

I have more affordable vintage Hamilton's on my website www.wolfevintagewatches.com. You can also find a deal or two on eBay, although I will say that prices on vintage Hamilton have certainly been going up over the past 2 years or so, even project watches.

Now Hamilton watches are made whether in Swiss or in the USA?

Hamilton moved production to Switzerland in 1969, so all new watches are Swiss made.

Hamilton is owned by the Swatch Group now, I believe. Great watches then and now.
