Servicing a Tripalium wind turbine at Sigean

4.2 metre, 24V battery charging machine based on my Recipe book and constructed by a Tripalium workshop in France 2 years earlier. In this video Jay Hudnall of Tieole is conducting a service of the turbine with help from the owners. I filmed it.

The furling system is designed to keep the turbine working usefully in all wind speeds whilst protecting it from overload. It would be easy to make it turn off, or run very slowly in good strong winds, but this would mean losing out on huge amounts of energy that these winds contain.
