Advice to make this video really perfect: use the subtitles to add essential infos. This way there is no voice over hesitation etc but the info in the video to be looked at for the people interested

A suggestion for further videos of this kind - really loved it, super useful for beginners : chain cleaning? brake control?

Using the video description for chapters would be nice. Feel free to use this: 0:00 - putting bycicle on stand and start it for a few minutes 1:15 - removing old oil 4:48 - oil filter change and cleaning 8:35 - add new clean oil 9:21 - spark plug change 10:35 - air filter cleaning (or replacement?) 14:00 - cleaning of the bike

Thinking about picking myself up a VanVan next month for my first proper road bike, I had a pit bike in my teens that I ripped the hell out of with no maintenance until it wasn't fit for purpose anymore so this is nice to see. If you run out of ideas, perhaps a voice over of this video explaining what you're doing and why, and maybe how often you might. Will be sure to check out your other videos to itch the VanVan itch a seem to be developing

is that a new airfilter? did you use some kind of air filter oil? and do you know whats the sticky substance on the old air filter?

@@zeitih6036 - Yes that was the new air filter. It comes ready soaked in some kind of sticky oil. Caught me by surprise as I wasn’t expecting it. Very messy!!!

Dude drain bolt doesn’t need to be that tight good lord man it’s called a crush washer for a reason 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@darrenmvelocity - thank you 🙏 I have got the torque settings but didn’t have a torque wrench that fitted. It’s pretty soft metal so I was pretty careful with it but will be investing in the torque wrench for next time!

I keep my van van in a garage much like yourself. Do you cover yours up? I'm concerned that putting a cover over it can cause unneeded condensation? What's your thoughts? Cheers. Great videos by the way.

Probably WD40 or something similar

Good ol’ WD-40. It doesn’t leave a residue behind and is good for displacing water, oil and dirt.

@@hofmannmanuel8482 - Hi, it’s a black widow exhaust. It’s made for a VanVan so no idea if it’ll fit your bike. 🤷‍♂️

Be careful overtorque the bolts (oil bolts). It's aluminium

Buy a torque wrench, you're over tightening the sump bolt

@@sham27007 - seems to be a common comment. A torque wrench is 100% going to be in my tool box for next time.
