Күн бұрын

So I like writing lyrics, but I'm really slow, and I need to practice, this video is me practicing. In this video, I use a free sample pack to make a quick beat in FL Studio. Then I proceed to show you guys the full process on how I write lyrics. I'm kinda going for speed in this video so some of the lyrics end up pretty stupid, but hopefully you find it entertaining. Let me know what you think!

Beside soft clipper and upping volume you can also equalize the parts of the drum you want and use it to help. You could also try side chaining your kicks to the melody for more emphasis. But most of the time if you download a good drum pack you won’t need to do much to make them slap.

Just a thought. Instead of peppers you could have said "Life gave me fruity loops so I made lyrical lemonade" it connects the subject matter in the bar to multiple things, and makes the double entendre easier for the listener to catch onto. You still made a good bar out of what you did though. I just feel like the peppers line may go over a bunch of people's heads. (I know personally if I were listening to it the bar would have. Not inherently a bad thing, but it is something to take into consideration when writing.) Overall I think you did pretty good in the end. Keep up the good work.

Considering you’re a beginner you’re pretty good! You’ve definitely got potential. As you grow you should use things like Rhymezone less and less. This’ll mean your lyrics will sound more natural as they’ll come straight from you, plus you’ll be able to come up with more complex rhymes and you’ll feel less boxed in. For now I’d say just get more comfortable and confident in your own lyrical ability. When I started I was exactly like you lol but now I don’t use Rhymezone at all which definitely makes it a lot more fun. If you wanna get really good when you listen to rappers that are really good look at their lyrics and see what they do and how it all fits together. Lyrics are just a jigsaw puzzle and they have as many sides as you want. Anyway that was just some throwaway advice not all of it will necessarily apply to you lol, good luck, I know you can become great

I've been producing for some years now... bro your hella talented, but you focus WAYYYY TOO MUCH on having done step by step & having an exact pattern your supposed to follow.... breath a little bit bro its music not neuro science... everything doesnt have to be exactly to the T, that's why it takes you FOREVER to find exact syllables and all this other shit.. let your imagination flow, do what sounds best. Not what your teacher tells you to do step by step.. keep up the good work tho 👍

You know why he is talented? Because he putts effort in and over think his music

@TehFinalBrick Yep you're right. Without going by intuition your track lacks on emotion. But good musical knowledge is a base you need to have, if you want to go complex.

@TehFinalBrick And over thinking does not exclude going by intuition.

You do realize he is writing his SECOND rap song, right? And... that is kind of the point of the video... that he needs practice.

Dude love your channel learning so much keep up the awesome teaching. I think you may hold yourself back a bit with the gyberish to set your rythems. I have a feeling by doing it that way you're going to force yourself into a A,A,B,B,C,C etc. Rhyme scheme which will be hard to hear your way out of. I think planning out what your rhyme scheme is first and then plotting out the rythem might open up some possibilities, just a suggestion. Cant wait to finish watching every video you've put out. Cheers buddy!

Try to make a beat only using the first issue of FL. I've been working with FL for a while and don't wanna buy the next edition until i make a song that I love. So i think it would be pretty cool if you showed us that you don't need anything more than the base edition to make a dirty beat. Love your work man, keep it up.
