A good strategy when you play dark side together is to use the eye of Sauron to gain vision on their base and then use loads of powerful abilities, like spawn the Balrog and dragon, so they can mess up their base while you fight elsewhere

1. Build more production buildings so you can rebuild more quickly after being wiped pushing 2. Target key enemies with specific units (ents / trolls with fire arrows, catapults & archers with cav etc) 3. Build heroea earlier to level them up and get their stronger abilities

I'm 100% convinved the AI in this game has map hack and can see all your buildings. I started a game, built a lumber mill in the corner of the map, and the AI made a beeline straight for it without any sort of vision.

What's worse for me is that in BFME the A.I will quite literally run past your armies, attack a building WHILE being attacked itself and because of low building health, manage to break down your base before they are cut down in return. Decent wall placement is your only hope but its not easy early game and not all factions have walls.

Great video and match again, you could of won too as your economies were strong enough and have been each video however you really need to build at least 2 of each military building, preferably 4 if you have space, certainly barracks and mass produce, that way you won't have to wait long before you are at max pop and can send a wave of 10 units or more from each player. Also for your front line walls, although good positioning, build a fortress and upgrade it with catapults or towers behind it if it fits, if not, spam towers, they'll hold while your waves of 4+ units each come in and eventually overwhelm them. Just some ideas, and only going by memory of how I played it many moons ago! Long time fan since the beginning ❤

Make sure to have some cavalry to tackle the enemy siege weapons as soon as you spot them, they decemated so many of your units

Right I’m going to be this guy but only because my hours in this game are significant. Enjoying these vids a lot but it’s a bit maddening. - you defeat an enemy when you destroy their citadel and their troop creation buildings. Farms, builders, and towers don’t need to be destroyed to win. - Getting bogged down fighting troops will prevent you from getting to the real meat - their buildings and builders. - Send mounted units and heroes to fight and distract. Pikes and Archers are mostly useful for defense, you can keep them back until you want to hit hard. Send siege units on quiet side missions backed up by a hero and a couple of foot units to take down building round the side. - Gollum’s visibility is instanced but he’s always on the map. Eye of Sauron can reveal him. Anyone can kill him and take the ring. - ‘Late game’ powers like balrogs and earthquakes can and should be used to weaken your enemy’s base before any of your troops get there. Use eye of Sauron to see their base then use the power to attack. You can weaken them from behind their lines. - sit hero’s outside your walls and use them to defend and level up before you send them into big fights - mounted and flying heroes are Squishy as fuck. Wizards and archer heroes are far better against troops. - upgrades are great, but fire arrows are better. Anything with fire is your friend, especially as evil factions. Smith playing Mordor and not getting their catapults out asap is not ideal. They come automatically with fireballs and can destroy troops and buildings fast. - you basically never need ladders or battering rams - walls aren’t very useful for evil factions, they’re better as funnels to bring enemies to one spot for defence - they’re getting a lot of resources and then sitting and watching their troops die. You can queue troop creating so you can throw just as many waves back as they throw at you. - the AI is built to just keep sending shit at you, so your early game is super important to make sure you hold them back early. Figure out which routes they’re taking and stick upgraded archers and pikes on them asap. Keep up the content. I miss this game so much.

Trott was sitting on a fuckload of resources most of that game. Gotta be spending that especially when you don't have your heroes up. Create extra barracks and unit buildings so you can spam out more units faster. Ross would have had more success if he had been upgrading weapons and armor as isengaurd. The uruks can be pretty tanky and killy if upgraded.

I think a big thing they struggle with is archers like Mirkwood archers with Silver thorn arrows. Cavalry cavalry needs to run through archers, but need to avoid pikemen.
