My dad got one of these new for my step mum in 1976 and they had it for 30 years. My stepmom would not swap it for an automatic and swore by it. She could run through the entire wash quicker than a 30 min load would take in an automatic; and cleaner than any automatic whites wash. No washing machine nowadays would give you service for that long. Nice to see the old favourite in action once again. Brings back fond childhood memories.

We had one in the 80s!. Couple of things I can remember is my mam used to use hot water from the house not rely on machine to heat up water. The washing powder went in on the filter also. And the spin.. First spin was to drain washin water then add cold water to spinner to rinse clothes properly. To drain there was specifice hose with machine to fit over the water flow and drain into the sink. Wow.. Some memories of Saturday morning coming back!

I still have one. My mother only ever truly believes a white garment/sheet/towel is really white is if it has been washed in "the proper washer".
