I am just learning about servos after a few minutes of googling I think there are some things wrong with this test. The distance the weight is attached on the servo arm matters. At 1cm it might be able to lift 20kg, but at 2cm it would then be 10kg. Also, the torque rating is a stall torque. So the servo can't lift that much weight if you help the weight a few inches off the ground, the servo could keep hold it there.

It's 25 kg-cm of torque. Looking at the bracket on Amazon, the load is no less than 30 mm or 3 cm from the servo pivot point. Max torque occurs when arm is perpendicular to the ground. The 3kg load requires 9 kg-cm to lift and the 5 kg load requires 15 kg-cm. Of course the arm starts out at about 30 degrees from the perpendicular so reduce your available torque by cos(30)=0.866 or by about 15% (1.0-0.866). Hence the 5 kg load now takes over 17 kg-cm to get moving. Of course as someone else pointed out these motors are always OVER-rated by the manufacturer as they quote STALL torque and not RATED torque.Odds are good the servo rated torque is about 1/3rd of the 25 kg or about 9 kg-cm. So now we see why the 3 kg load worked like a charm, the 5 kg not so much.

Nice demo. I had no idea a 25kg servo could move so much weight.

You must take into account the distance from the pinion to the arm that supports the load, if for example it is 5cm, it would be 25kg*cm/ 5cm, that is to say it would support just the 5kg, in addition your power supply must be good and deliver enough current... Excellent video editing, I loved it

plug the signal wire into the digital pins, and then plug the servo power wires into arduinos gnd and 5v respectively, then use the servo library to control it in the arduino ide, for a more in depth tutorial, just look up "how to connect servo to arduino" on youtube.

This test is not adequate. You cannot draw enough power from the arduino 5V to power this servo fully, an arduino uno can suply about 500ma at 5v, which is probably 30% of the amperage required. You must also take in to account the lever arm length. 25kg-cm is equivalent to 12.5kg-2cm.

@@MrProjectTSE I could not see the power supply in your torque tests. At 2.8cm lever arm, the stall torque would be around 9kg-cm. That is, the servo will stall at that weight. I assume you may not have supplied enough current or the servo is rated incorrectly.

1.Voltage supply to servo motor must correct first.2 How long your beam? 3.Test motor full pulse or 100% duty cycle .

@@rendyyt2268 The design usually separates the power supply between the control unit or Arduino with the power part or in this case the servo motor. Determining the size of the power supply for the servo motor can be done by figuring out how much current each motor uses at full load. If using 4 servos, you should find the power supply that supplied the current for all servo motors.

The voltage to supply the motor is 5V. You must use an external power supply because the Arduino board can not handle to supply current to the motor.
