Is the encoder internal in these motors?

Yes, the encoder is mounted to the shaft, opposite the drive end. The encoder sits within a housing near the endbell. Thanks for watching!

@@Gesrepair yes thank you we were troubleshooting our ships pitch and propulsion someone adjusted our linkage arm that is attached to the servo motor we ended up having to replace the servo motor and then also the transducer which houses the internal encoder and we are able to accurately calibrate our pitch

@Gesrepair it was odd we were receiving all the right voltages everything checked out continuity was correct no shorts or grounds lots of troubleshooting to find out the internal encoder corrupted 😅

Question: is it possible to test servo motor insulation with insulation tester when Ac Tachogenerator is on it??

Why using two meters???? . 1) 1587 is not reading 2.2. It's reading over 2.2 Gigaohms. 2) 1587 is also true rms, and there is no need to use second 87v meter, especially for checking resistance

Looks like an improper lead connection during the Megger test using the 1587.
