Servus Rubber tower demolished

A crew from Alliance Demolition takes down the former Norcross/Servus Rubber plant tower Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, in Rock Island. The demolition of the tower unearthed an old wooden water tank at the top of the tower. It took the demolition crew approximately five hours to take down the five-story tower. Crew members had to build a ramp of debris for the heavy equipment to safely reach the tower.
