I just don't understand why we as black people can jump up and scream and protest about this , but we won't stand up for our dear precious children when they get gunned down by stray gunfire in our communites all across the country by street thugs , as of the ending of the month of July we have had 31 children who have got caught in street shootouts that we have had in Philly this year , the youngest child that was killed this year was only 7 months old we need BLM , Ben Crump , Al Sharpton etc etc to come to Phila , Chicago , NYC , Houston , Atlanta , Memphis , etc etc so we can get the carjackings and murder , that involves guns and the gun violence period under control in our communites everytime a innocent little black child is killed or injured by reckless gunfire by street thugs I have noticed the only people that are in attendance at the news conference is the child's mother and the childs immediate family , a couple of police officials , and a couple of ministers and that's it , we need to stop honoring that idiotic so called " NO SNITCH CODE " and get all these wannabe gangsters , thugs and criminals out of our communities

I will depend on if the suits were designed to limit movement like with the Disney suits (especially with the Tigger trial of 2004), or if the people inside the suit are really racist or the parents wanted them to do something they had to say no to (like the Rosita clip having her do the no wave because the mother of the two children was said to have asked her to hold her daughters). As far as I'm concerned, the only time you'll see "Sesame Street" and "discrimination" in the same sentence is if the word "hates" is in between them! Most of their human characters are of a certain background! The reason why most of their Muppet characters are a certain species (like monsters, birds, grouches, honkers, dingers, snuffulupagusses, martians, fairies, etc) is to show a mutual love and community among them. Their first movie was about a racist group of birds thinking Big Bird should live with "his own kind", only to learn that he's happy leaving in a town that welcomes everyone. Their first Christmas special included Bob respecting Mr. Hooper religion by wishing him a happy Hannukah! There was an entire episode about Telly learning how to avoid racist people! They had a cartoon mocking how Indians are portrayed in media! Abby Cadabby has a monster for a stepbrother! The cast member in question played a hispanic character! Leave the franchise itself out of this!

I'm black and liberal. I loved taking my kid to Sesame Place, never had issues. Never. I don't know whether the people in those costumes did that intentionally or not. If the parents took this personal was a lawsuit really necessary? They could have written a letter to management complaining but filing a lawsuit and saying that they are racists? Sesame Place has always been a cool place for families to go and have fun. I couldn't wait to go with my child once summer came! For decades, the show itself not only educates but has always been an awesome platform for discussing adult issues in a manner that children can understand. Yes racism does exist but come on folks, this is really reaching. Just my opinion.

This isn't racist at all. Clearly, the character is saying NO to several other people. And, the character briefly waves hello to the two girls amid saying no to someone behind the girls. The call to racism is disturbingly dangerous. I certainly hope the person's identity in the Rosita costume is protected because that could mean their life or limb, their reputation and livelihood forever destroyed by a intellectually lazy mother looking for a payout.
