Sesame Street - Gabi Is Born (1989)

From 1989, street scenes from Episodes 2614 and 2615 (Season 20 finale) where Maria (Sonia Manzano) and Luis (Emilio Delgado) welcome their new baby into the world as Maria gives birth to Gabi (played here by long-time sound effects/foley artist Dick Maitland's newborn son, Bryan, and later played by Sonia's real-life daughter, Gabriela Rose Reagan), awwww.
At the beginning, Luis can't sleep as he wonders about the baby, so he sings "Fun to Wonder", written by Sam Pottle and David Axlerod, first performed in 1978 and, in a nice circle of life, in 1998 by Maria, Gordon, Rosita, and Baby Bear.
Part one co-stars Gordon (Roscoe Orman), Susan (Loretta Long), The Count (Jerry Nelson), Telly (Martin P. Robinson), Big Bird, and Oscar (both Caroll Spinney). The second part includes David (Northern Calloway), Bob (Bob McGrath), Linda (Linda Bove), Gina (Alison Bartlett O'Reilly), and Miles (Roscoe's real-life son, Miles Orman).
Amongst all the joy, a bittersweet note. This was Northern Calloway's last episode as David. Northern left due to medical reasons (link below) and died nearly eight months after this aired (January 9, 1990), just before his 42nd birthday. On the show, Elmo got a letter from David saying he'd be staying at his Grandmother's farm.
