This not only helps people recognize others on the spectrum, it gives those who have it a better understanding. Growing up through school, I knew I was different from the other students and I didn't understand why. I believe it was when autism was just starting to be recognized cause I was diagnosed with it by the doctors during the early-mid 90s. Even then, While I 'kind of' knew what it was, I still had no idea how to socially connect with others. Now I have an 8 year old who inherited it from me (and his mother's side), and I am grateful that autism is recognized and easier to explain to him aswell as for all generations. Thank you Sesame Street. 🧩
