Clear and easy to follow. I have sesamoiditis and have flares now and then (depending on my activities and footwear). After treatment, etc I have gotten better. I want you to know your video is the most comprehensive laymans/user friendly I've come across. Thank you!

Hei Richard, I just found your channel and I cant tell you enough how happy this makes me! I have had pain under my big two since February, pretty sure I injured the sesamoid skikjøring (cross country with dogs) on hard iced trails, which I did 5 to 6 times a week, up to 35km a day. I live very remote in the northern most part of Norway and we do not have any podiatrist or physios specialist on feet up here, I think the closest I found online is several hundred kilometer away. Anyway after visiting the doctor in March and him telling me I just use my feet to much, I finnaly was sent to an x-ray by my physio (that actually considered a sesamoid injury), no results shown on the x-ray, so in July I got a MRI scan taken and it showed a inflammation of the sesamoid bone. I have been on sick leave for 5 weeks now, offloading the foot especially the toes. As of today I am two days pain free and hope to get the okay of trying to walk again. But I was worried how to go from here to not make it flame up right away. I ordered shows with a big toe box, as well as a bigger sole and I am definetly going to create a dancers pad, tape the toe and continue to ice. Hopefully I will heal from this injury (seeing lots of negative and demotivating stories online) and in time can start strengthening the muscels in my feet to prevent future injuries of these bones. Again thank you so much for providing these videos!

Hi Sara, how are you doing? I am also kind of pain free only recently, but having a walk outdoors with my hoka shoes still give me some discomfort here and there:(. Did you manage to recover from it?

Hi there, how are you feeling these days? I just injured my sesamoid (after I fractured the other ankle - perhaps via compensation?) and would love any good anectodes of recovery. Hope you are healed up and back out with your dogs!

Hei, sorry for not answering! I didn't see that I got an answer before now 🙄 I literally just had the sesamoidectomy done to take this bone out. It has been 14 month and after wrong diagnosis and no konservativ treatment given the bone was broken into several pieces. I had surgery yesterday and will hopefully be back out with my dogs in three month time. How are you guys doing?

Hey Rich, I just came across this video and have passed it along to my nephew who is running track at Fresno State. He has a recurrence of sesmoiditis, and I think your taping and padding techniques could be helpful. Thanks for producing such great videos! Alison D.

where can we get the material you use to make dancer pad
Thank you for your videos - I will have to try this. I have been dealing with what I would have to assume is sesamoiditis in both feet - worse in my right foot for sure. I am a climber and am wondering if it would be best to refrain from climbing for a few weeks and try this with my shoes possibly? It is really frustrating for me as climbing requires putting all my weight on my big toes a lot of the time and I just loathe the idea of not climbing for weeks if not months. Just walking can be painful a lot of the time now, especially the day after a hard climb session.

Are you back to climbing
@bronzethunderbeard15722 жыл бұрын
@@Schydoza yes I am. I realized I really screwed my toes/feet up at the time from climbing shoes that were way too tight and climbing slab too much. and I ended up taking a good 6-8 weeks off to really let my toes recover and wait inflammation/pain to go away. I was off my feet for a day or two until it didn’t hurt to walk then I just took it easy for a while and didn’t even try climbing for at least 6 weeks. My problem was more in my toes then on the bottom of my foot ( I have some bunions forming causing my pain) and I found these small silicone inserts for toes to help with bunions on Amazon they help keep my toes from jamming into themselves so much and causing the pain. Everyone’s pain is different so I can’t speak to your pain or issues but im sure my problem was mainly climbing shoes that were way too tight that was aggravating and causing inflammation in my toes. Get shoes that are looser if they are super tight and Listen to your body and easy up if you’re dealing with something similar , take a couple weeks off if needed and let the pain subside. Just gotta keep trying different things. I still deal with pain in my toes but not nearly as bad as it was. I’m managing it better and have been climbing 2-3 times a week again. Also I try to avoid popping or cracking my fingers and toes now, intentionally cracking my fingers or toes causes pain so I avoid doing that.

I have a broken sesamoid and would like to try the Cluffy wedge. Where can I find the adhesive felt you use? Also, is it helpful to combine these treatments? For example, the spica taping and cuffy pads?

Hi so i got a sesamoid fracture in my fibular sesamoid and im 21 years old, will this fracture fully heal and would i be able to run and sprint after? How many months does it take? Its been 1.5 months since the injury and i can walk/stand fine but a little pain when i press on the sesamoid

Jill's Dancer's Pads were a life saver for me! They greatly reduced my pain and allowed me to continue to get around. They stick to your feet so they will stay in place and fit into shoes, and they're washable. Don't get the extra thickness. The regular thickness works best.
