Beth Underhill, reigning Canadian Show Jumping Champion, impressed upon our final group the importance of always maintaining the connection between flatwork and jumping bigger courses. Beth addressed unique challenges each rider experiences with their individual horses and illustrated the importance of keeping horses comfortable and confident in their training.

The Royal Horse Show is proud to have hosted a very well attended clinic with our reigning Canadian Show Jumping Champion, Beth Underhill on August 21. The clinic featured three groups, engaging in flatwork and training over various heights of jumps in gymnastic in the venerable arena setting of Valhalla Equestrian in King, Ontario.

While Melanie's instruction was spot on/ fantastic I was a little disappointed in the riders lack of ability and knowledge in the more advance sections, like anything 1.0 meter and above.

Aren't the riders there to learn and improve? I wouldn't want to go to a clinic in which I don't learn anything.
