i hope more people could understand how good Session is, i mean i like Skate XL , of course i played the hell out of SKate 3 (and i will with Skate 4 whenever is coming out) but Session man........is the technicality man,a simulator!
@part-time-ninja Жыл бұрын
Agreed 💯! Coming from the Skate series my mind was blown with the details and Sim aspect of Session. Couldn't believe it. Personally I thought there was something that looked a bit off with XL, that's why I got into Session. But hey, it's good to have options! 🔥🛹 This is what I hoped skate4 would be but I guess they're taking a different approach.

I get exactly what you are saying! For me it is mostly my creativity though. I have been really enjoying joining people's 'Spot of the Week'-challanges and then doing the stuff that really no one is expecting, not persé regarding the difficulty of the trick but more on the approach of the spot 😅 But anyway, great to read that you are enjoying yourself as well creating videos like these. In that case I can keep my hopes up that plenty more may follow sooner or later! 😇
@part-time-ninja Жыл бұрын
@@EaSkateVideo Yeah exactly. My brain is wired the same way. I think that's a good way to approach other aspects of life too. Personally it wouldn't feel very rewarding trying to get insane combos. Instead a seemingly simple trick or a line can look so sweet when done "right." I've noticed the "Spot of the week" stuff. That does look fun and I think I'll try to get involved in that stuff too. @@snbrackins yup. Unfortunately I think there is no way in hell we are getting as many custom settings in skate 4 for pop/grind/friction etc to make it seem like a simulation game. I'm sure it'll be great for a more casual audience and if I'm not mistaken, it'll be free to play? So no harm in that.

@randomrandooom Жыл бұрын
that was so sick, can i ask how you do the ollie hippie jump stuff?
@part-time-ninja Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The ollie hippie stuff needs a few elements to work. First you need to enable "late flips" from the flip menu. Then you've got to adjust the Board to body distance setting a bit depending on the spot. Also you probably need to adjust the high pop setting to make it look ok. Kind of like a compensation for the higher board to body distance. Now it comes down to timing. I use manual catch + Left/Right foot inputs as a goofy stance skater. Goofy example - When you ollie, you've got to let go of the inputs for a spilt second and while in the air input left foot down or right foot up quickly. Or a combination of the 2 - I usually go for a quick left foot down - release - right foot up - release and then maybe lean into a nose manual kind of. That will make it seem like the board will level out a bit better. This thing is not always consistent and can bug out a lot so you need patience. It is easier to start with nollie hippies - the front of the board is lower to the ground and will go under obstacles way easier. Same thing applies - nollie - release inputs - quickly input left foot down - release - quickly input right foot up and release. Messing around with these combos you'll notice the board moves a bit differently each time so just try to make it look good.

Thank you bro! Really happy you enjoyed the video! I'm slowly working on a "filming" video, maybe could add a section for some editing tips? Or a separate video. Some main ideas I usually follow: sync the clips with the pace of the song. It will give you a better flowing video if sync/cuts make sense and the viewer can expect a new cut/clip. Usually songs have some different parts that can be used for some type of B-roll or creative footage. It's good to mix it up. Skating sound - make sure the sounds of skating are not too quiet under the music track. Audio needs work too. Don't go too crazy with effects/transitions - it can break the feeling of the video if the transitions don't make sense. ❤️🔥

Board breaking can be turned on in the game. Should work on console and PC. Check the wear and tear settings menu. Grinds into grinds - When you get into a grind, then quickly release all the inputs and apply Ollie again into a new grind/trick. You gotta be fast. Have a look on KZbin, JL nightmare made a really good tutorial for grind combos.

Object dropper. It's the barrier item. You can flip it upside down and lean it on stuff to make things more interesting ✌️

how long did this take? and how do you make that video editor work better
@part-time-ninja Жыл бұрын
These edits take a few months at least. Getting the clips and "filming" and editing. It's a long process that's made longer by having to work in real life too 😬🔥 It's definitely possible to crank out edits fast but that's not my thing. By video editor do you mean the replay editor or the actual program to edit the project? Maybe you've got some specific questions or if you're struggling with some aspect of it? Let me know, maybe I can help you out.

It's outstanding. These make me want to try and make some reels and when I start i just get epicly frustrated. So....I'm more than impressed. Well done
