Jody is universally adored. The sweetest thing is that the actress is the same as the character. She is fierce against bullying and discrimination and strongly supports fans going through rough times. I told her on Twitter what Jody meant to me during a terribld time in my life and she was lovely to me.

WE 👏🏻 LOVE 👏🏻 JODY 👏🏻 She reminds me of Ellen from the first couple seasons with the way she is able to keep the boys in check & also earn respect from them simultaneously & Jodie has barely been “hunting” in her own way that long as of right now. She may not be here that frequently, but every single time she is, it is more than a treat! Yeah I get Dean a bit, nothing wrong with being happy you’re doing a good thing, but proper PLEASURE & almost euphoria doing what he did really concerns me too!

Something to consider that might make you feel a little less critical of Alex, is that the "people" she luring to their deaths were described as "a certain type of man," as in the type of man who would leave a bar with an obviously under-aged girl. I would not cry about the death of such men.

🙋🏻‍♀ Standing up for the people that are obsessed with Jody. The final moments of this episode with the pain of Alex and Jody merging to be, maybe, a little less painful... It's so touching in a series that has a lot of feelings but rarely goes into the fragility of that kind of emotional pain.

The spinoff series Wayward Sisters was made because people love Jody. It didn't do so well because... some lackluster stuff went on, but it was nice to see a woman-centered version of Supernatural too.

The problem was that it wasn't made. They did one of those episode of Supernatural as the pilot and then it wasn't picked up as an actual show to be given the chance. I think it would have done great as a show but we will never know.

I seem to be in the minority because I didn't care for this episode. More Jody is always great but it's a bit late in the season for me to get invested in a monster-of-the-week story. Would have worked better as episode 5 or 6, not episode 19. And I'm over vampires in Supernatural at this point. They show up a lot for a monster that was supposed to be extinct in their very first episode.

@@helenwood8482 Very much is. It was a bit of a character episode for Jody but it didn't deal with the season long arc at all. Unless you want to get really specific and say that Dean being bloodthirsty with the vamp at the very end of the episode tied into it.

While I did enjoy this episode I do understand your criticism, This late into the season any episode not about the main plot does feel like its dragging. We got two big bads this season and a lot to wrap up.

I loved this episode but I do agree that it should have been earlier in the season. It didn't lessen my enjoyment of the episode though. Although I'm used to shows that had 20 - 25 episode seasons and so there were quite a few episodes, even later in the season, where they aren't focused on the main arc but will have a sprinkling of it in there. Nowadays shows are so shortened and focused on the overall arc that I think we are cheated out of these type of character focused episodes.
