Well now that you're at the end of this journey, you're finally on the same boat as the rest of us-- the anticipation boat. And it's going to be a long cruise. Ahsoka season 2 is going to happen, but it's currently only in the "development" stage, meaning we have a long wait ahead of us. In the first episode, you wondered if you were stupid by thinking the three figures depicted in the ancient map were the Father, the Son and the Daughter. While that was actually not a stupid guess at all, in that instance the three figures actually depicted a triumvirate of Dathomiri witches. However, if you had a similar thought about the statues that we saw Baylan at in his final scene (and it seems as if you might have, even if you did not articulate it), you would be right on the money. The outstretched finger upon which Baylan stood belongs to the Father, we see the Son to the right, and of the remains of a statue of the Daughter to the left. Baylan seeks "the beginning". Does Baylan's plan involved the World Between Worlds?Does Baylan hope to replace the Father? Wasn't that supposed to be Anakin's destiny? And then there's Morai, Ahsoka's winged companion, a direct connection to Ahsoka's time on Mortis and to the Daughter herself. Yes, I think season 2 is going to go deep into the will and the nature of The Force. And I am totally here for it. Of course, there's still the sad issue of Ray Stevenson's passing. No one can ever fill Ray's shoes as Baylan, so I shall not expect anyone to. I hope whoever they find can bring the same depth and gravitas to their performance, but ultimately I hope they make the character their own. RIP, Ray Stevenson. The Force will be with you always. A few random notes. Morgan sword was called "The Sword of Talzin" and Maul's mother was Mother Talzin. Their chant that they use to raise the troopers is the same chant that the Night Sisters used to heal Maul back in Clone Wars. The lead Night Sister was played by Claudia Black, of Farscape fame. I am totally down with Ezra training Jacen, but only if Hera is 117% on board with it. She's had enough Jedi related heartbreak in her life. You keep rightfully commenting on the music, and it should be pointed out that the music is by Kevin Kiner, who did the music for Clone Wars, Rebels and Bad Batch. The reunion with Hera was brief because Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Eman Esfandi were not actually in the same room at the same time when they filmed. I now believe that they threw in Zeb's cameo in The Mandalorian because they knew there wasn't really a place for him in this story. Also, as a fully realized CGI character, any scene with Zeb in it is going to be very expensive. I do hope we see more of him. I particularly want to see him reunited with his Rebels companions, but I suspect due to the cost, he will be used sparingly. It's been an amazing ride. Can't wait for it to continue with The Bad Batch. You will absolutely love the focus on the clones.

I really enjoyed this series. Episode 5 was a highlight for me but at the same time watching the last few episodes reminded me how much I loved how it turned out with so many emotional payoffs for fans of he animated series. Something I said to my wife is I think someone without the animated series may enjoy it I really think without the more fleshed out background for all the Rebels characters and Ahsoka's journey with Anakin just cannot be appreciated in the same way and does not resonate more completely. I for one really respect you for going back and watching all of it before going forward with this series worked out just fine. A wonderful journey to watch again with you.

And all your points about Ahsoka were 100% mine too. I think people forget the trauma Ahsoka suffered from Anakin's fall. Her seeing Vader in the flashback scene felt like all of her fear about him coming out. Finally expressed in their discussion. Whereas I believe Anakin's point was his legacy was more than just his fall and she needed that reminder because that was not her legacy either.

So there's a few things that I wanted to draw your attention to with this episode. First the spell used by the night mothers and the oath they made Morgan swear are both from the same CW episode. Asaj swore the oath to Mother Talzin before Old Dakka rose an army of dead Nightsisters. 2nd that sword was most likely last seen when Mother Talzin fought Master Windu in season 6 of CW. 3rd the joke about the blade emitter being too narrow was a jab at the lightsaber blades of Rebels being very thin. Now to talk about the elephant on the sofa. With Sabine, during two prior scenes in which she ignited the lightsaber when she started to fall into a rhythm where she was letting her instincts take over with the combat she managed to perform perfect blast deflection. When they are ascending the temple because of her connection to Ezra she does at least one more perfect blast deflection before she calls her lightsaber. And if you noticed once she calls her lightsaber to her and after the push she starts trusting herself more and you can see she is more reliant on the lightsaber for blast deflection even as she's popping off shots with her blaster. Now I want you to consider one of the last times that Ahsoka was on a Battlefield and there was a Trio of Jedi being Padawan Knight and master levels respectively. And consider exactly how long Ahsoka had to wait for something like that to happen again ironically after she has attained that level of mastery( also consider by her 18th birthday Ahsoka was completely able to Merc any inquisitors that cross her path). And by the time that she reached 35 she had successfully stood Toe to Toe against Maul twice and against Vader and the emperor once each. As well as helping to work over 3 inquisitors (in 1 DAY). And given his experience with her master it is no shock that thrawn was willing to eviscerate them with the orbital bombardment. Now I do feel a bit compelled to speak about that and Cameo which apparently included musical notes from across the Stars. This show Absolutely spoiled us with us being able to see everything from newly minted Jedi Knight Anakin all the way up to post Return of the Jedi Enlightenment Anakin. Hayden has the range and I am so glad that he is able to enjoy the accolades that come with being one of the franchises most beloved characters. It is truly tragic that we lost Ray because he was compelling as all hell as Baylin. We all wish we could see more

2:25 That sword (the Blade of Talzin) is pretty much the exact same thing as ancient Sith Swords (metal swords imbued with the force, making them similar to lightsabers before the Sith actually invented the lightsaber). 2:42 "The blade emitter is too narrow." Little jab at how Star Wars: Rebels lightsaber blades looked too thin. Also, while not visible in your video, among the lightsaber parts on the workbench is the top half of a Graflex 3-Cell flash synchronizer (the real world thing used to create the Skywalker Lightsaber prop in the Original and Sequel Trilogy movies). 6:45 Thrawn had actually met Anakin during the Clone Wars and by the end of it was familiar enough with him to recognize that Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader were one and the same. 8:00 *Kind of.* Legends continuity Star Wars had *real* Stormtrooper virus-made zombies, and it was the most horrifying thing in pre-Disney Star Wars beside the Yuuzhan Vong. These are just Stormtroopers reanimated by Nightsister magick. 9:10 Thrawn has such an immeasurable reputation for inspiring true, absolute loyalty that every Star Wars fan familiar with Thrawn instantly knew the moments the words "We require more time" came out of his mouth, we knew that he was asking Morgan to sacrifice herself, and that Morgan understood that and had no problem with it. 9:50 Reminder that Diana Lee Inosanto is the goddaughter of Bruce Lee, and her father was one of Bruce Lee's students and fellow co-founders of Jeet Kun Do, Bruce Lee's brand of martial arts. 13:12 100% Ezra's style to steal Stormtrooper armor and collect it (recall his room on the Lothal Comms Tower is filled with Stormtrooper helmets and armor). 14:28 Yup. That's the Morai from the World Between Worlds. 14:37 And that's The Father (the Force God representing balance). 16:48 Notice that this Anakin force ghost doesn't have his scar. Though I think that he should have been wearing the tan and white robes he had in ROTJ's ending scene.

Looking at how this episode ended - and the focus of Thrawn getting all of the cargo transfered - so they could leave; the boxes could be generations of witches, just waiting to be awoken (such as Thrawn did for the Great Mothers), to repopulate Dathomir. Maybe the price he paid for their help was transporting all of them to Dathomir for that purpose. He got home - and they get to reestablish Dathomir.

Ezra exiting the ship while still wearing the helmet is completely illogical. I also think that the Imperial Remnants will have a hard time accepting the aide of Dathomirian sourcory in their new arsenal. The Empire came into being by purging the Jedi from the galaxy. Most Imperials secretly despised the Imperial Inquisitorious, considering them relics fom a by-gone era, wheras the time of the Empire was here and now. The knowledge of Palpatine being Force-Sensitive, let alone a Sith Lord, was kmown to only the most trusted of his Imperial Advisors and other members of his inner circle.

And yet another reference to the Mortis Gods. Clearly this place was significant to them but for what reason? The only logical explanation is Abeloth the Mother. Baylan at the end mirrored when Anakin was making his way to the Father on Mortis. He saw something glowing in the distance at a peak. I can't help but get a feeling of dread because I know very well what Abeloth can do if she is unleashed and brought into canon. And if Anakin can't interfere then no one will be able to stop her. I already explained what her deal was in the comments of the last video but long story short if she is unleashed then that's a death sentence to all.

Personally, I would have edited the scene with Thrawn overlooking those cargo crates in what is presumibly the ship's hold. As well as the scene with Morgan blessing the Nightroopers and Thrawn's reaction asking if those guys were volonteers. In my opinion: yes they were. Think about it: these soldiers have been though this decade-long exile. They haven't seen their families, friends and loved ones in years. Survived on an uncharted, extra-galactic world with no way to request for reinforcments, fresh supplies or even make contact with the rest of the Empire. After all this, they finally get the chance to go back home and then Morgan Elsbeth comes along and tells them to hold off two Jedi and a Mandalorian maybe-jedi to buy Grand Admiral Thrawn the time he needs to escape Perridia, with only a vague blessing by those creepy Nightsisters and their soucerous Dark Magick to protect them? Are they all high?! Either that, or they're devoted to the point of being a cult of personality revolving around worshiping "Lord Thrawn, Deliverer of Salvation to the Empire". What do You think of my made-up title for his little fan-club?

I think i would rate Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka maybe 1 tier above old man obi-wans terrible lightsaber fighting in a new hope. She clearly isn't an action star and very stiff in all the fight scenes. Anytime the action looks somewhat decent I just assume its the stunt double doing the work and to be fair a lot of action sequences are done by stunt doubles in a lot of movies but typically light saber fights are just practiced choreography with the actual actors since they arent doing anything that really puts themselves in harms way. i love her as an actress in just about everything ive seen.... but not as ahsoka. kinda like i thought cool Ramona from Scott Pilgrim is gonna be in Ashoka? She would be a great Sabine... Shes a tad old now for it though and instead we get a stiff bland Hera. Sadly 2 great actors in this series and 1 is sadly dead now RIP. Loved Ray Stevenson in everything ive seen him in... granted Dexter and RRR being the only other things I can think of off hand. And Wes Chatham who is amazing in the Expanse plays Enoch so we dont ever get to even really see him act in this since hes just a storm trooper captain. Kind of a waste.
