Holy shit this is literally a perfect fucking apology to someone. Clearly stating what he did wrong, why it was wrong, and what he's going to do better, while never once saying the word "sorry," because this isn't a song about looking for forgiveness, it's about the core of what an apology needs to be: Owning up to your wrongdoings, then doing better. Kudos dudes, a great way to close out a wonderful album.

recently became TOTALLY OBSESSED with this band and this song made me fucking break down and cry, pause the song, go to the living room where my husband of damn near 13 years is playing diablo 4 and had to sit down and let him hear the song with me. we've had a long history of fights, and bad times, on both our parts, but we kept enduring and while things have gotten SOO much better... i still struggle with addiction, needing to be high to cope after work (esp since my mom passed away right before christmas. that bleak december....) it's been very hard on him, but he manages my medication so i'll do better, but i would keep sneaking extras. that's even gone down too, but it still hasn't stopped. but it's very important to me to get under control. we've kept it from the kids, they don't need to deal with that, but i know how addicts can hurt their families and loved ones. i'm just so grateful he's put up with me and all of my mental illnesses, and whatnot. i'm rambling now though. i just wanted to say thank you for this beautiful song, and thank you charles, for always loving me, no matter how hard its been for both of us at times. you're my forever.

I came across a group back in 2015, but it didn't stick in my head right away. it took a couple more years to do this, and now, at the end of 2022, I realized how much I fell in love with this band, with their lyrics, music, voice I really want as many people as possible to know about it, because they deserve it.

I can relate to this song beyond belief. I just wish it came out sooner. These were the thoughts that were running through my mind for the last year, and eventually I was let go for not being better, for not pulling through and fighting hard enough to deal with my mental health. It resulted in the break up I had last week. This song really pushed me to become a better person. Not just because I lost the one I still love, but because I know that everything else gets better once you want to become better for yourself. This song hits me where it hurts, than any other song I had heard. Last year in 2022, I made a bunch of friends, one in particular named Sara Jackson, and she was a true friend that I was even surprised that we became friends. I sadly won't be able to see her again because we met at a summer camp and last year was her last year, and I just wish I could've told her right then and there that I liked her, but now were just friends (which is okay). I will hopefully be seeing her again in 2026, so at least I have something too look forward too in the upcoming years.

Two days ago I tried to kill myself. Yesterday started to listen to whatever came upon my feed (to not think about my struggles or about the suicide) First I listened to "Killer in the mirror". Now I am bang-listening to all your music. To be honest before all this I only heard such songs as "wolf in sheep's clothing" and "partners in crime". Everything I listend too in these two days really resonates with me and especially now, when I am hopeless and alone. It cheered me up a lot. Then this piece suddenly started playing, totally different from everything I was listening to in years. I wanted to turn it off, because I was scared that it is going to bring me again into horrible mental state. However I couldn't turn it off, it reminded me of many things important in life. This song miracolusly changed my mood and my perspective on my life by 180°. This type of song was never my thing, but in just 4 minutes it became my favorite song of all time.
