There are so many muhavray common in Hindi and Urdu eg Behti Ganga mein haath dhona, maatam manana etc. which are used by both Hindus and Muslims alike. Majoirty of south Asian Muslim women wear sarees. Bengalis, South Indian Muslims also west sarees. Aren’t they Muslims? By this logic shalwar qameez is a Sikh dress . Saree is a south Asian dress and doesn’t have any religion attached to it. We Pakistanis have been mislead in thinking like this. Before 1980s everyone wore sarees in Pakistan then be it nusrat Bhutto or noor jehan or farida khanum Etc. Just look at all old pics and u will see Sindhi Punjabi and even Pashto women from upper middle class onwards wearing sarees. Yeh nafrat Zia daur mein mutating karwai gayi jo aaj bhi Barqarar hai
